Being An Adult

This being my first blog I decided to write on something that I am currently going through in the hopes of accomplishing two things. The first is that I wish to obtain comments or suggestions about what I should do and then the second is to improve my writing skills. With that said I shall now begin my first blog.
I always thought that by the time I was 18 the freedoms associated with adulthood would have been thrust upon me. I was shocked to find that after 19 years of life on this Earth the freedoms associated with being an adult have yet to find me. I find myself wondering if how I was and am being raised has something to do with the lack of "adult" responsibilities that I have.
I know many of you think that my parents and family are keeping these "adult" responsibilities from me in order to protect me but I truly feel that I deserve and am mature enough to obtain these responsibilities. Now don't get me wrong I love my parents and my family but how am I supposed to learn from my mistakes if I don't have the responsibilities that allow me to spread my wings and live my life for me....
