So lately a few of my "friends" have been going thru a lot of stuff. We have been friends for 6 or 7 years now and we all decided to go on a senior trip together. Well, lately 2 of them (we will call them Emily and Chelsie) have been talking about my best friend (we will call her Paige) behind her back. Well another mutual friend (cassie) decided to tell Paige about this and me being Paige's best friend, she called me to vent. After that we (Paige, Cassie and I) decided we wanted nothing to do with Emily and Chelsie.
I didn't talk to them, or about them, I was being civil towards them. Then a few days ago I was told that they were talking about me now. Apparently they had been saying that I"m not going to amount to anything and that maybe we (cassie, Paige and I) should grow up and start acting like college freshmen. So I decided to tell them that if they had anything to say about me to just say it to my face. They told me that I'm not going to do anything with my life and that I'm going to stay in this town for the rest of my life. I told them that since they are talking about acting like college freshmen maybe they should try it. Then they started calling me names and stupid stuff like that. So I decided to be the more mature person in the matter and I told them that they need to grow up, I'm tired of their high school drama, and that I'm done. Then I told Chelsie the truth about Emily (they have been best friends since kindergarden sp?) I told her that Emily talks about her behind her back and that the only reason Emily still hangs out with her is cause Chelsie pays for everything. Chelsie doesn't have a job and Emily does but for some reason Chelsie pays for everything. Of course, she didn't believe me. But if she wants to ignore the truth whatever.
I am so tired of high school drama. I can't wait to get out of high school and go to college. Seriously, we are Seniors, we should be acting like Seniors, not 3 year olds.
****All names in this are made up, they are not the real names of the people.

I agree with you completely. I am so sick of high school drama, and I hope I won't have to deal with it in college. It is sickening how much some people just crave for drama.
Unfortunately, I don't think that the same drama that goes on in high school automatically disappears when you go to college. Think of the situation in the best terms though, it gave you an opportunity to distinguish between your real, true friends and those that just aren't worth being friends with. I hope your situation resolves itself!
.. thats the thing with friends in highschool. people just end up going their own ways and living their own lifes and have lifes of their own.
