Its moments like this that i truly love my free-minded friends.

I've been away from my online journal for a while, largely due to my injured hand

I checked back today to see how thigns were doing, and POOF there was a post from her!

Apparently she was discussing a shirt that had offended her,and some feminist communities.

This shirt said...

No means you have to eat me out first

Obscene yes, but its not even a good or humorous message.

Sort of like the other shirt mocking the Abercrombie and Fitch line

grabherbootie and pinch

That one came out while i was in middle school.

Both certianly blur the lines of sexual harassment and abuse.  That is just a major NO, particularely for people who have seen teh affects of this abuse so vividly, as my friend and I have.  Why would people find these sorts of slogans AMUSING?

Her response?

No means I have a cameraphone with 9-11 on speed dial.

You better believe that i am SO buying that shirt the moment I have money.  Now THAT is a message we need to teach ourselves to heed.

Sure the other shirt is freedom of speech  But its going to be important to think of WHAT KIND of speech we want to have leaving our mouths/printed on our clothing.  I would NEVER want anyone to get an impression of me from that shirt.  Vote with your money people!

But SOMEONE is getting a big hug when next I see  her.
