Track and field is really fun meeting new people and competing against others and hopefully coming out on top and winning a gold medal in whatever race you do is fun and keeps you training hard and coming back for more. Training hard means going all out all week and giving everything you got to get better. Isee practice as a way to tell how you are going to do on friday during your meet. Cause if you slack off during the week you will not perform at 100 percent and chances are you may not decrease your time or you may get beat by an opponent you know you should have beaten
I run the sprint relay, the 400 meter run, the mile relay, 800 meter relay, an d the 200 yard dash. Everytime I step on the track i Give it my all cause Success Only Lies In Determination.
I run my 400 in 54.03 seconds my 200 in 23.73 seconds I recently got fifth place in the 400 at lubbock cooper first in the sprint relay and third place in the mile relay. track and field is fun. I used to do field events such as long jump and triple jump but I am always too tired after practice to jump on dead legs it dosent help me to practice if i cant be consistant and not hit my mark I am always three or four feet from my mark on t he board and still jump average if I hit my mark no doubt I would get one of the top three spots. th eonly tip I can give you in track is Run fast and turn left

Seriously, this post has nothing to do with ProgressiveU, the scholarship contest, and it desperately needs some serious editing here. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but if you want to get that scholarship (I'm assuming that's why you came to the site) then you must follow the site rules.
Some possible topics you may be interested in is how track and field and interacting with other people can help you see things in a new light or how track meets make you think of serious issues like sexism or racism or how some people don't play fair.
thanks for your honest opinoin I am glad somebody told me that cause i re read it and i think it is crap to be honest thanks. do you have anymore topics i could write about that would help me with the scholarship.
But I also want to say that When I coached track and field, my jumpers jumped first, right after warm ups, for exactly the reason you mentioned. You can't jump with any consistency on dead legs! Those events are all about consistency, rhythm, and power. you have none of those after a workout. I was very lucky to work with a head coach who valued field events as much as the running events. Not many high school coaches feel that way. Then again, we had some good jumpers, and a hell of a jumps coach (if I do say so myself)!
