Taking ones own life

One thing really bugs me, when people take their own lives. Majority of suicides are due to depression and not getting the help you need. But taking your life is not the answer at all, in fact it is far from it. The answer is as little as taking a pill once a day, or even getting a hobby, or talking to professionals.

I wouldn't be saying that suicide isn't the answer unless I, 100%, knew it wasn't. And I do. I, myself, have been soo close to death before, but I did the easiest thing in my life. Said I needed help. And I got it, less than a year later and I love life and everything about it!

Don't be selfish, get help. Plus your life will be better if you've been through hell.

When someone takes their own life, they are telling everyone around them that they give up. I know that if one of my friends committed suicide I would be disappointed. I would feel like our friendship meant nothing and I would almost be offended that my friend didn't think they could come to me with their problems before choosing the eternal and ultimate 'solution.' Thankfully, this has never happened to me, and I really have no idea how I would seriously react.
Some people get into situations where, everything seems hopeless, but the truth is, there's always hope. And everything happens for a reason. Sometimes it's just hard to see it through.

Something to keep in mind: be a good listener, you could be someone's last hope.

While I agree with you, I also think that suicide is done for any of a number of reasons, and that every person's reason is different. I think it's unfair to judge victims of suicide for "failing" to get help... because for some people, therapy and medication doesn't help.
