tell me, i want to hear it

if you could be paid just to live, what would you do with your life? what would your days be like? i encourage you to make your goals realistic. and forget job descriptions (teacher, lawyer, whatever) i want to know what you want to DO. ya know? i'm asking this question because i think that many of ask ourselves this question (not that it's freakishly weird to talk to ourselves or anything : P ) at least i know i have. and i don't think that many of us get to share this with others. and what i've found (mainly through other peoples mistakes because, well, you know, we're not gonna live long enough to make every mistake so it's good to learn from others, just a little side note) is that the only way that we will truly be happy is by pursuing that "paid just to live" kind of job. and besides, i figure that by sharing these things with others, we can get information about stuff that pertains to our dreams and heck, you could actually make it happen. wouldn't that be something. ; ) so let's get this party started, start sharing. cause i totally want to hear it.

I'd do exactly what I'm doing now- teaching, conducting medical research, and being a mom. I couldn't think of anything else I'd rather do.

I love abortion. Read more here:

Yeah, it's a great career! I love it. My main projects are designing and preliminary testing on bone implants, but I also do some work on the side with the goal of identifying a particle that will selectively bind to breast cancer cells.

I like alot of things and this is making me struggle with what I want to do not even for money. I love drawing, painting, photograph, I want to write books, make pretty wedding cakes, do science research, forensics. I probably have missed some things I would say. All those things I love and they make me happy. It is better to have alot of dreams but it makes it hard to choose something...

i totally get that, i def had a hard time choosing some kinda path because i enjoy doing all kinds of stuff, ya know? like you do. but i picked something that i felt most called to do (at the present), and i put everything else into the "hobby" category (for the moment). so are you a student or are you planning to be? what is it that you're doing right now?

I am about to start my second semester of preliminary classes. Most of these are required for all courses so I am not wasting time. The problem I face is alot of the things I want to do they don't have schools here. I used to want to be a vet but I am not going to travel to ohio (I don't like ohio to much) just to take classes. At that some don't have jobs here. I live in KY but not in a small city. I live in the second largest city Lexington. Still certain jobs are more for NY or California. I actually really want to create movie posters, but don't want to have to relocate. I don't know I thought I wanted to be a Dental hygientist then I realized I was only wanting to do it for the money and it would take 4 years to get an associates degree which is stupid to waste my time.

It's a good thing that you realized you didnt want to do that early in your education. One thing to keep in mind is that nothing you want to do is a waste of time. Even if it took you 10 years to get an associate's degree, you would be more happy taking this route than if it took you 2 years to learn something you didn't like to do.
