Now tell me why hasn't this recieved mass media coverage.
We all want to believe we are so much "free-er" and "better" than everyone else, but we really aren't. Incidents like this being swept under the rub only undermine our OWN credibility in handling delicate situations with different ethnic minorities, such as Iraq.
Two families, one Jewish, one anonymous, have fled a Delaware town amidst alleged death threats and threats of violence. One of the two families has remained anonymous...
Part of the reason the two Indian River families fled involve alleged threats, and those may have stemmed, in part, from the efforts of a group called Stop The ACLU Coalition to publicize the names, address, and telephone number(s) of the Dobrich family on the group's website.
Stop The ACLU Coalition has ALSO been doing quite a lot of work in the campaign to accuse the New York Times and the Washington Post of treason.
The flashpoint for the initial dispute that has led those two families to flee for fear of violent attack was an alleged pattern of egregious violations of church state separation in the form of the teaching of Christianity in an Indian River school. At least one Jewish family, the Dobrich's, raised an objection, and the outcome has led them to sell their home and relocate to another area.
A large Delaware school district promoted Christianity so aggressively that a Jewish family felt it necessary to move to Wilmington, two hours away, because they feared retaliation for filing a lawsuit....
....A former [school] board member suggested that Mona Dobrich might "disappear" like Madalyn Murray O'Hair, the atheist whose Supreme Court case resulted in ending organized school prayer. She disappeared in 1995 and her dismembered body was found six years later. [ quote from Jews On First article that initially broke the story
One detail I also feel should be pointed out about the O'Hair threat, is also how the O'Hairs were treated after their disapearance. There was no outpouring of Christian sympathy or curiosity, only the vicious attaacks that they had fled, in a true "amoral devil-worshipping athiestic" fashion with money from Ms. O'Hairs organization. If any real CEO had disappeared, would they have been treated this way? Likely not. We would have had the media showing tearful maids swearing that they didn't know their master was planning a trip and they wondered if they'd been kidnapped or anything. The fact that it was not JUST Madelyn that disappeared, but also her adopted daughter(from an ex-husband) and another man were abducted too only makes it worse.
We do have a double standard in America. We tell Athiests or minorities to "sit down and shut up" because they are such a "small" amount of the population, but really is that even the point? In America we're supposed to encourage diversity. No matter how unusual or unorthodox the view, so long as it doesn't harm others. Christians in Stop the ACLU are TOTALLY unAmerican. Why is no one denouncing them?
And when will the media show us a story we really NEED? Isn't it much more important to know abou families being forced to move because of standing up for their civil liberties than it is to know about Britneys newest pregnancy and Kiera Knighleys family history of Anorexia?
Screw entertainment. I want to know that regardless of WHAT I believe, I will be safe to live where I choose, without having others force feeding me their religious dogma.

This is not unusual. Already Crooks and liars has posted an article about the right-winged websites telling people to get the names, addresses, phonenumbers, and the schools where the children of employees of the NYTs go.
Sounds like stalking to me.

It is sad.
But the discrimination is not one sided.
And the national news can't possibly cover everything, it has to cover what people want to hear.
I strongly suggested boycotting news agencies, and sticking to places that give people "real news" in quantity.
