This war, is it really necessary? Also, BAD Clinton! Down girl!

How many of you actually think that this war is necessaey? I denfinatly do not! I think that after the point where Hussain was caught, the war just became ridiculus! I mean, look at all of the soldiers that have died for an unnecessary reason! I think that Bush was a good president untill 9/11 scared him out of his wits. Now, I am not completely downing Bush because he has probably had to deal with a whole lot of things that most other presidents have not. Also, I like the fact that he is not afraid to speak out about christianity. But, ever since 9/11 his decisions have been horrible! Another cold hard fact is that we may very likely end up with a president that is three times worse than Bush. Honestly, do you really think that Clinton knows what she is doing. No, I am not saying this because she is a woman! I am a feminist myself but, her beliefs are all out of whack! I am sorry if you are not a christian and you believe in abortion and gay marriage. I just want to say that I am not trying to offend you in anyway. I am just simply stating my opinion. Clinton would ruin America! Obama would not do much better. This country was founded on christianity and I am very afraid of what is might become. I may not even vote. I see no reason to. Our votes are not the votes that get counted anyways. That's the job of the electoral college. Anyways, please leave comments but please do not be hateful about it!

actually, american COLONIES was founded on the greed of England by their poor and criminals who came over to start new lives and get rich. the puritans that started american colonization would refuse church membership to anyone who hadn't recieved a vision from god.
now, AMERICA was founded on democracy and freedom of religion, as well as absence of religion in government. if one group gets the benefits that marriage allow for, like sharing of insurance and stuff, then EVERYONE should get it so that we can continue to call ourselves a nation of EQUALITY.

but about this war, saddam hussein was a dictator who kiilled thousands. but we can't leave iraq as it is. there are insurgents shooting up the place. there are schools to be rebuilt and governments to be set up. there is so much reconstruction to be done, and leaving iraq in such a state would be wrong of us.

please, when considering a presidential candidate, think aobut the real issues, like public education systems, healthcare, and corruption. it's so easy to get distracted by out personal opinions on things like personality and the religion of the candidates. pay attention to the policy.

They came here for riches, true, but they also came here for religious freedom! Nothing against catholics! I have catholic freinds and have attanded mass. But, the priests of the catholic church were practicly selling forgiveness. People thought that that was wrong so Luther started a church where people asked for forgiveness from GOD, not bought it from the priest! The Puritans, were only one group of many seeking religious freedom in America!

sorry about the subject. i had to.
but i wouldn't call it religious freedom at all. catholics had to set up their own colony, maryland, because the different religious groups wouldn't tolerate each other. and puritans came here to practice their religion, but like i said, you couldn't go to church unless you got a vision from god, affirming that you were one of the chosen.
did you know that georgia was a colony set up for criminals and debtors to get a second chance? like australia, america was seen as a dumping ground for all of england's worst.

but still, all of that is american colonization. if you want to knwo what america was founded on, read the constitution.

You are right abut Georgia, though.

thanks for the props, yo. and for being firm in your convictions. just remember to be open and to treat people equally. that's all gay marriage is about. i'm straight myself, but if someone were to tell me i couldn't get married, i would be angered. the government is not supposed to support any one religion over the other, so as to keep things fair for everyone. no one wants to take your religion from you, but they'd like for you to allow them to have their own choices. you're not less christian because you support gay marriage. they're here, and whether you accept them or not, they'll always be here. treating them as you would like to be treated is only being more christian, not undermining your own personal values.

I am a Christian and I support same sex marriages and abortion. I don't feel that I have the power to control what other people do. As long as they are not interfering with my pursuit of happiness then I have no right to stop them from pursing theirs. The founders gave us that right, so wouldn't that go against what they believed?

People came to the new world to escape religious prosecution, but this country was not founded on religion. A few of the writers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were Agnostic for example Benjamin Franklin. Just playing a little devil's advocate here.

But mostly I am really upset that you think the most brillant and competant woman this country has ever seen would ruin this country. Hillary Rodham Clinton knows what she is doing and would make a great president. I can only hope to become half as smart as she is. Obama on the other hand I am not sure about. He just seems to be a good speaker. He kinda scares me.

P.S.: Vote!!!!!!! If you don't vote, you don't voice your opinion, and you don't try to fix the things that are broken.
I always say if you don't express your right to vote, you don't have the right to complain!

I don't have anything against gay people. I have many gay friends. You have the right to voice your opinion and at least their are people on this website that respectfully voice their opinion and don't do it hatefully!

i hope i wasn't hateful!! everything that i said, take it as if i we're smiling, and giggling every once in a while when i made a good point. i didn't mean to sound mean at all, i just love a good debate, and i love helping someone see another point of view. sometimes i guess i just get to into it.
i don't think that ccmiranda was trying to be mean either, but what do i know?...
