This morning I went to get my birth control shot at planned parenthood. While I was there, I was thinking. How can so many people be pregnant with babies that they don't even want when birth control is so readily available? I understand that not all cities have planned parenthood and other low-income health clinics like that. But if there is one in your town, there is no excuse. Many people can get free birth control, it all depends on how much you make. I myself have to pay about $30 every three months for the depo-provera shot. Which is not alot at all when you think about the cost of a child! I know that I am not ready to have a child, and I am doing what I have to do make sure I don't. I just don't understand why other people can't do the same when it's so easy to get birth control. And PP also gives away free condoms by the bagful! If people would use this resource, there wouldn't be so many murders (aka abortions) happening all the time.

Agreed. I mean if the don't want it, why let some go out for so long. When the child is 7 months or that old, I mean why kill it so far along? They should just take their pills...

Almost all abortions take place up till 12 weeks, 15 weeks at some places. [That's about 3 to 4 months]. After that, it's medical abortions that take place to save the mom / or the fetus has birth defects / related.
And there are so many forms of birth control now that are even more convient than the pill. Use some common sense and stop abortion before it even starts.
The only people that disagree with this argument (which is outdated for our times) are those that are against contraceptives for whatever reason.

As well as that, if you don't make enough money you get it for free. There's a girl at my school that goes every month and because she can't afford it the shot is at no cost to her. I think it's pretty damn cool. ^^ Especially for teenagers, since you don't have to have your parents sign off on it, nor do they have to send you stuff or call you or anything.

You'd also have to consider people who are ignorant (yes, there are people who are ignorant of effective birth control) and those who make bad decisions (yes, there are people who tend to make bad decisions).
In this Christian society, kids are afraid. I was and that's why I got pregnant early. I am a Christian but I believe that with abstinence, we should teach safe sex and make our kids not feel like they will burn forever for getting a condom or taking the pill.

Birth control is not 100% safeproof, unless you get your tubes tied [tee-hee]. Some women are extremely fertile. Some women are allergic to birth controls and have really bad reactions. Some simply forget, or condoms break. Or like someone pointed out earlier, lack of education.
I went to planned parenthood once and they were actually pretty friendly, i qualified for some grant thing they had and I got my birth control for like $10 a month. That was great and the pill was perfect for me, worked great with my body. The only problem is that they make the transfer really hard when you move.
Many people just need to be informed of their resources. Schools are too busy trying to teach abstonance, but the reality is most people will not practice it. Someone needs to help inform high shcool and college students of what is going on around them and if they are going to ave sex they shouldtry and find a Plan Parenthood around them.
