Well, I'm stating to get a good amount of response from viewers. Some of them have flat out tried to takeover my blogs, LOL, including trying to even discredit me. But it all goes along with the territory. My parents always kind of kept me sheltered a little from society so I was not aware at just how wild in nature society really was.
Everything's based on survival.
At any rate, I have been bogged down with the load of these new classes that I have started in, caring for eight new puppies, and searching for a descent new job.
Remember, when looking for a job, it is sometimes best to research things like temporary agencies or employment services. If they don't have a good client base and a reputation for placing employees in effective positions do not try them.
I went to one place and submitted my resume. They hired me as a temporary worker then immediately tried to discharge me into a perminant position at a company using 1% of my experienced work skills and making half of the income I was used to making. It was like they were totally ignoring my degree or my experience. I thought they were insane! Either that or the office manager was a peer and considerably jealous of my credentials. I could understand if it had been a temporary position or if the pay rate was associated with something that utilize a bit of my college skills while paying me a little less than normal because it was part time, but that situation was basically abuse.
I had a friend that told me that its becuase they are an agency. They don't make money from me, they make money from the clients so they are just trying to fill the client positions. My response what that they have numerous employees, why choose someone that is way overqualified rather than someone that fits perfectly into the position?

Well welcome back. Good luck with the job search. Yeah it is kind of hard now to even get a job now. Some people are even taking pay cut jobs just to pay the bills. It sucks even more when you have a degree and they say "This is all they offer."
This company even tried using the influence of a higher position to try and convince me to pay $10 to watch some movie that multiple members of the company had an investment in through some unassociated film network (we were an environmental organization and the movie was about the mafia, I have emails and correspondence to prove it, plus they wanted to make me PAY to see it). Because I didn't go, I was at work the next day and this lady trying to flash the hooker call to the boss and getting rejected because "She's my wife" tried to tell someone on the phone "Now she's harassing everybody" as I walk from my desk to the kitchen in order to fill my glass full of warm water in order to cook my teabag. I'm still trying to find the significance of cooking warm tea to harassing everybody. I tried to assume she wasn't talking about me, but I saw no one else around her and she said it as I walked by.
Anyway, I have an attorney and he is having me file formal reports with some governmental organizations, thats a first step effort in solving this since the corporate headquarters refused to address the issue when I made the complaint to them. I have a nice severance package, but not nice enough. I'm mainly concerned with obtaining justice for the way I was harassed and discriminated against.

Mainly you have to sell yourself on your experience. It seems most people want you to have experience before they will even consider you for hire. I always make the joke of "Where do they expect you to get experience if you don't already have it and that keeps you from getting work in that area?", but that's why looking for something entry level is so important.
Working in internships always helps as well. Sometimes the people who hold the internship are willing to hire afterwards, and sometimes the internship helps to show experience on the resume.
Don't try to go to a staffing agency unless you research them ahead of time. That is where you get stuck with these low paying jobs that insult your sills and credentials. I found a job in my field one month after I graduated. I think the main determining factor was that I was willing to start at a rate that was lower than the asking start rate. Then they hired someone under me that was able to take a rate even lower than MY rate right before they let me go. She had been out of the field for awhile, wasn't all the way graduated, and had worked in reception before this position. It was time for them to give me my first raise.
The person I had replaced had the same problem, she has a master's degree and 15 years of experience in the field. They gave her a promotion and a raise, hired me on then slowly coerced her out the door. It's not that good of a company to work for. They offer you sick and vacation pay, and they offer you personal time pay or a check at the end of the year for not using it. The only catch is that they ask you not to variate the vacation days (that's understood not spoken, the people who have worked there for awhile have no children, the entire crew of workers that have been there for however many years they have been there) but they also don't want you to NOT use them because they want you to use the personal time and not get the extra pay for it. I guess that saves them money or something. BUT, they harass you for using it as well.
For instance, I used it during an emergency when my daughter got a virus that you couldn't give her medicine for and afterwards all of a sudden one of the employees that had worked there for 8 years was bringing her "ill" dogs into work one at a time for problems that had been there for more than 8 years. In other words, to harass me about being home with my child.
In the meantime, I have money's from taking classes at the school, unemployment, savings, and pretty soon money's from the selling of 8 puppies to help get me through.
I'd rather take a lower paid job in my field that is part time to have the experience there than to take a full time lower or high paid job in some weird field that won't match my career goals. I didn't choose my field because I didn't have a passion for it.
I'm finding out that part time with bene's might be best for now anyway, the class loads are getting heavy and work is my security blanket. When and if I get into law school the I will not be allowed to work my first year.
