Taking a quick look around ProgressiveU will tell one that it is most definitely midterm season on college campuses around the nation! Things have slowed down immeasurably in the past few days. And that's not a bad thing. Rather, it gives users a little time to looking through some of the older blogs and catch up on what they missed. And there are some true gems in there!
Which leads me to my point of this post!
At the risk of sounding sappy, I just wanted to say kudos to everyone that has worked so hard this time around (as well as in previous contests and the off seasons). You are all doing wonderful and are the reason ProU is so great.
I am thrilled to see that this season hasn't been nearly as rife with name calling and general childishness as the previous season. That is definitely something to be proud of! We've had some great discussions this time around and some amazing posts. Keep it up!
With that being said, I'd just like to remind everyone of a few short (but important) things:
1) Quality is just as important as quantity. You're bound to attract far more users if your posts are of quality than if you just slap together a post riddled with spelling and grammatical mistakes. Likewise, you'll have far more success if your posts are your own and not copy/paste jobs from somewhere else. Embryowassup recently posted "Copying and Pasting into Your Blog: A Brief Guide." Please make sure you take a look at it as it has some very important guidelines for everyone to follow and will ensure your posts aren't removed for violations!
2) Posts and comments that are against PU policy (copyright infringement, plagiarism, name-calling, spam, etc) will be removed. When an original comment is removed because it is in violation of PU policy, any subsequent comments to that original comment are also removed.
3) The FAQ section has some very useful information. You might want to check it out for answers to those questions you've yet to find!
4) Have fun! We've still got about 2 months to go in the contest and those two months can change the leader board drastically. Just try not to burn yourselves out!
