There are a lot of new members; each of you have your own writing style and interests to keep you blogging.
Now, the moderators could continually list things like the FAQ and the TOS in blog after blog to help acquaint each of you with these various things; but what better way to help you find them than to give you points for looking these things up?
In this spirit, we have developed a Scavenger Hunt that will ask you 20 questions about things you can find on this site.
Each answer can be found on any page, Discussion Forum, or even in an FAQ entry written by Progressive U. None of these items will require you to leave the site (although a few of them will require that you do some searching!) And none of the answers will be found on entries written by Progressive U members. So no, none of the answers can be found within the many entries of Fallon's Blog.
To get credit for your answers, include a link to the page you found the answer on. For example, if the answer to a question is on the "About Us" page, the answer you submit should read: "About Us, http://www.progressiveu.org/about".
This may be one of the most involved Bonus Point Opportunities yet, so expect to spend some time searching for the answers...When you're ready, you can submit your answers through this form.
If you have any questions, you may contact any member of the Progressive U Faculty. They will not give you the answers, but they may provide hints.
You will receive 100 points for each correct answer, making the maximum number of points available to earn 2000.
But more than the points, through this Scavenger Hunt you will be pointed to several guidelines, features, and other areas that you may not fully understand or might not have seen before.
This scavenger hunt will continue for one month - meaning that you have until March 15, 2008 to seek out and find those answers! Good luck!

Here are the answers to some of the questions I have received regarding this Bonus Point Opportunity. I hope they help!
How do I know the name of the page where I found my answers? Every page has a title on it. Writing in the title as shown should suffice.
Are they limited to Home Page, FAQ Page, Forums Page, News page, etc.? Or we put down the sub header lines like ProgressiveU's Editorial Policy Page and the post the link? Many of the questions will point you to the FAQ and other such pages - but read the questions carefully! Some of the questions ask for names or email addresses or even a number. Go to the exact page you found the answer on and post that link. The answers can be found on any page written by Progressive U, except for blogs (or other Progressive U sites). All the answers are on this site - not our new Creative Writing sister site.
If the link is right but the page name is wrong, does it still count? We ask for a link to cut out the chances of misinterpretation and typos. If you name the page incorrectly but provide the correct link, you will receive credit. If the link is wrong or missing, you will not receive credit. The link is what tells us that you went and looked at the correct page (even if you forgot the exact title).

help me please!!!! Also if you get a chance stop by my blog and read somthin im sure u can find somthin u can agree or disagree and start an itellecutal conversation with me there. TY for the future supports
Putting your question in your title isn't the best idea. If you'll look at the blog, where it says something like 'you can submit your answers through this form', it's highlighted blue. That means there's a link behind it.

I put in my answers to the scavenger hunt - when do I hear back about how I did? Or how do I know that they went through at all?
Thanks!
Jessica
Hi Twilight :)
As was explained before, points for Bonus Point Opportunities are added in near the end of the contest.
And, for the record, yes I did receive your submission...

How can I tell how many points I have accumulated for the scholarship contest?
I read somewhere about a "My Points" link on the right of the screen, though I can't seem to find it.
When you make a comment or post a blog, scroll to the top of the screen, and your point total should be in red.
I'm not sure if the My Points link is working for people or not, but it's below My Inbox in your menu.

See comment above.
And please refrain from writing in all caps ("yelling")... it's internet etiquette. Thank you in advance.
Can a moderator answer my question (above)?
Thank you!
Jessica
One did.

I already submitted my answers, but there were a few that I could not find at the time. I now have found a few of those, so I can submit again with just those answers?

We're sorry...for a couple things. A - this never should have taken me this long to answer you.
B - no, once you've submitted your answers, we cannot allow you to resubmit. The reason for this is that the forms all get sent to my email address. As of right now, I've already got more than 70 responses. If everyone found an answer that they think they missed and started to resubmit their answers, I would go crazy - quite literally.
But, this is also why I posted the contest to last for a month - so everyone would have plenty of time to search through and look for some of these things before submitting the answers.

what are the questions?
Hi,
There's a link in the write-up that points you to a form. The questions are on that form.
Here is another link: http://www.progressiveu.org/node/33006
