These schoalrs and filmakers uncovered two stone ossuaries that they think are the remains of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. This burial box was one of tweleve that they found back in 1980 in a cave. One of the boxes bear inscriptions including "Judah, Son of Jesus," and "Mariamene," a version of the name Mary. So this would imply that Jesus had a son.Is that true??
Some believe that this could be the remains of Jesus and his family but Archaeologist Amos Kloner said he doubted a link to Jesus. "The names on the caskets are the most common names found among Jews at the time." Another This casket is inscribed "Jesus, son of Joseph." The assertion that Jesus had a casket contradicts the Christian belief that he ascended to heaven.

So how do you feel about this?Do you think that it could be his remains, or that of his family? Did Jesus have a son?

Wow I bet that sparks some debate among christians. Although I believe the quote that there was probably more than one Jesus and Mary at that time, considering how many there are now.
I agree. Jesus was a very popular name back then and still is today. Guess what my name is???? It's JOSH!!! You know what that is in Israeli? Jeshua!!! Which is Jesus! I'm really hyper...long day eh
Ya I bet that christians will not like that they are saying that.Because just like the article says he rose into heaven. So it does disagree with what christians beleive.
That it would be "son of Jesus". And yes, the fact he had a casket would be a little against the good ol' bible. But I can tell you how Christians will refute the finding:
1) it's not really THE Jesus
2) oooh, he got a NEW body, a spiritual one to resurect.
Even if he did, that means you guys have been full of crap for the past however many years, what else could you possible have WRONG?
I find it limiting to interpret the Bible in only a literal sense. With things like religion and spirituality, where isn't there room for metaphor?
How easy is it to explain to somebody where their intangible soul goes? It makes much more sense to say that their "body" or "essense" ascended into heaven, because we can grasp that as a tangible image of a body lifting off the ground.
I feel the same way about creation. What is 4.6 billion years to God, and what is it to us? It's hard to grasp that kind of timeframe even now, so it would be easier to explain creation in a timeframe that mortal creatures can grasp. That doesn't mean He had to literally create everything in one week.
You pretty much have to take everything with a grain of salt. Everytime you turn around someone thinks that they found the remains of someone or something
