Mentally Ill love ones

I would like to blog on the issue of the mentally ill. I am very concern about people that have love ones and they are experiencing no help from the government. I am speaking from experience. I have a sister that suffers from depression and I spent a lot of time taking care of her and her family she has two kids and ever times she has a relapse it is so hard getting the hospital to keep her. They say because she an adult she has to sign herself in. Now tell me this how is a person that has no way of taking care of their mentally suppose to make decisions on weather or not they should be admitted to the hospital. What kind of law is that. My mom try to admitt her because she didn't want her to hurt herself and she wasn't taking her medicine anymore and she need help. The hospital told my mom that she couldn't admitt her because she is an adult she has to admit herself. I trully don't understand what type law is this. I am so puzzle right now. I trully believe this is why the mentally ill patient are hurting their selves because the system lets these people that are suppose to be mentally disable make their own choice when they know they can't and that's why they end up getting killed like that young man on the news that was eighteen probably suffering some form of depression and needing a little help, counseling or just someone to talk to other than family. If there anyone that can relate to this send a message. I've had to many bad experiences trying to get a love one help and theres just a bad resolute at the end. Lord help you if you don't have insurance your really at a dead end citizen or not.
