I don't know how many of you have seen the show called the boondocks but it really is loved by some people. Some people think it funny but some times the stuff they say really gets you thinking do people really think like that do they think black people are just a bunch of cursing N-word using drug addicts that think were beter than everyone else and all ways blame white people for are promblems. Black people we need to think for are selfs we need to treat black women better than what were treating them we need to stop all these songs were we call them bitch and Ho and suck my dick and bend over so i can fuck you this is why people seem to think black guys only think with there dick and not there brain. And black womens need to stop letting people get way with this you are more than your hips and breast and ass you have a brain and you have your own name your name is not shortey. we as people seem to think it just music but people are affected by this music and blame it for are promblems we need to stop sing songs about drugs, sex, money and some dam shopping list of crap we want to buy get over yourself sing songs about loving you women besides sex and blowjobs, handjobs, and other sexual positions.

I have not seen the show. However, last week I attended a lecture on race that addressed the show. It seemed that the individuals conducting that portion of the lecture agreed that the show had a positive message. Although it often incorporated humor, they thought that the show addressed important problems. One particular instance I remembered was the ignorance of the conflicts between black and whites by adults, when Huey spoke about them. Once again, although I have not seen the show, I do not discount that it may convey a larger meaning for both African-American individuals as well as others.

Yeah, I think that show exacerbates certain stereotypes that could easily be disproved. Not cool.
