Because I'm Black it seems the people expect me to act a certin way when i do good things like helping old people cross the street they seem to think it alright for them to say that kind for a black person are they usually think I'm trying to rob them like one person did when they ran screaming at me. They also think it ok to classify the things I say and do as Gay and my parents are always trying to set me up with black girls saying things like you should date yor own race. People see the color and not me who I am they also sterotype me as gay cause I sing a few girl songs and like plays and don't give a rusted four dimes for sports. They say guys should like sports, girls and cars but I'm just trying to get thru life with just myself I don't need anybody right know I want to work on me and take care of me first so later I can take care of my girlfriend. which would be alot easy if the world did not care about what color I am I hear the N-word all the time and Jungle monekey, Big Lip, Big nose. During all of this I never give up hope life will get better.
Because I'm black

one time i needed directions, and i approached a white women slowly as to not alarm her. the funny thing was she wasnt really scared of me, cause when i asked her if she knew where a street was she rolled her eyes, then proceeded to cross the street.
i know everyone isnt like this but people on this site, and maybe america think that all forms of racism are in the past.
It would be easier to understand your post and take you more seriously if there weren't so many spelling/grammar errors. Just read things over, it'll help. Nobody's perfect, a few mistakes are inevitable.
People calling you gay has nothing to do with you being black. People just have a hard time seeing a male interested in the arts and not in sports.
Also, most races have the problem with their parents wanting their children to date within their own race - this is not unique to black people. Every race faces prejudice not just black people. It is harder being a minority, but don't like people's comments get you down.

He wasn't really saying cause he's black he's gay.
He was comparing.....
But anyway i feel you (even wth ALL the grammar errors)lol.
Its hard to be yourself with all the sterotypes around now-and-days. My mom used to drown me in pink everyday in hopes that i wouldnt be a tomboy. It didnt work.
But I know how much harder it is for black males to live up to those stupid expections. Y'all have to always be tough or you are labeled gay.
Enjoy your art, do you.
My mom had the same problem with me dating someone who was classified as "mixed" which is a bad classification because if you want to put it this way everyone is "mixed" I have czech, german, hungarian, etc etc and I could go on. My mom tried to teach me lady like things but I couldn't stand it. I don't think it is good to stereotype guys as liking sports and think they are gay because they like art. Many girls will actually like that. it is smart you are taking time to work on yourself because it is hard to do when you are with someone. My dad and my boyfriend don't like sports at all. They are not gay. I support people being themselves because it is boring to see people that all like the same stuff. So keep being yourself don't let anyone change you!
Because I'm white, people assume I'm rich and American. I am neither - I'm nearly always broke, I'm in debt, and although I'm a US citizen I grew up in Israel and know little about US culture.
Because I'm a woman, people (men, usually, but I don't want to generalize) see me as a sex object. I am definitely not a sex object, nor do I want to be seen as one.
Because I'm a Jew, people assume I'm rich and greedy. I am neither.
I could go on and on, but my point is, everyone experiences discrimination, not just black people. However I do agree that in the area you live in, at least, black people obviously suffer tremendous amounts of discrimination and abuse, which is of course totally unacceptable.

Black people partly suffer because they don’t really organize their trauma!
Once black people or other minorities reach a point wherein they can or have cut themselves loose from poverty or other vicious circles they have lingered in, they also partly cut loose from their responsibility towards their community that still lingers in a situation they now fear of being sucked back into.
They are not to be blamed for this, because the sad truth around is that they will eventually get sucked back inside poverty or miseries if they do try to help out.
In a way which is understandable, even do not wise, they turn their backs and start looking up the other way, like if everything they have achieved has become a reality they have created alone thanks to their own personal persistence only.
This is partly true although there are more reasons why some succeed were others don’t!
Black people often forget, the only reason why they got out of misery is because the ones before them have put a lifetime effort in opening up understanding while paving that path which today allows some to walk upon heading their way towards a better future. Problem is that many act like if they had laid every brick themselves!
It’s the generations before the one that can profit which have invested their lives for a better today!
Individuals inside minority groups that have succeeded to break out the vicious circle of life, should pay more effort in dealing with the misfortunes that are still a reality for many.
This will allow an equilibrium to arise wherein better guidance can become a reality for all concerned.
To get this in place, there is need to create a structure that provides in the needs, I read many blogs regarding heated discussions about scholarships.
Who and who doesn’t get them in relation to race issues etcetera.
This situations could easily be solved if some efforts would be put in place to provide and create solutions. They are all well in place to know were the real problems are to be found, there for people can or should solve these problems for themselves.
This is a challenge they should had ventured in already a long time ago!
exactly....Once black people in general "Make It"....they turn their backs on the society that raised them to be who they are....partly because they feel that they have worked so hard to get out of the situation, so there is no reason to go back.....Also i think the other reason is because along their path to "Making It" they bought into the same stereotypes that drive other cultures away from black people.
basically they simply lose their black identity. The black identity has to do with the so called "struggle"...once you no longer struggle it is hard to continue to identify....
I think that this is why we no longer have national black leaders, because the ones who want to lead have no "distinguishable credibility" outside of the black community, and the ones who do dont want to sacrifice for the betterment of their community.
Minorities suffer a lot under stereotyping, because it makes people to become a copy of how their surroundings mould them into their own image, so you are very right when referring to identity loss.
It’s that loss which is causing so many black youngsters to end up in trouble or worse, jail.
Some become so confused about life, identity and their future, they can’t cope with this constant pressure.
It brings nothing more than emotional unbalances that are not even properly deled with throughout education, all of this in a situation in which every black person knows, how one ignorant remark or insult coming from a stranger can cause a child not to focus throughout the day while attending school.
Kids loose focus for classes in their inability to understand the reasons behind all this hatred which suddenly becomes a part of their lives.
To bring awareness inside this matter, would tackle many of the misfortunes children live on a daily basis not knowing how to handle their fears, anger, disillusion and pain while coping with this cancer of hate that is projected upon them randomly bringing nothing but hurt they hardly can dissolve for themselves.
Every child that comes home one day from school trying to find answers and reason for what suddenly entered his/her life, should be given a comic book that explains this cancer in order to give it a face they can recognize and ignore whenever it crosses their future path.
This is on way to build a better future for all while doing this from the inside out.
The younger they are, the better, children will no longer be vulnerable or be pushed out of balance when knowing or recognizing that evil of hate, a sickness they could now control and give a place in their hearts until it will eventually root out with the upcoming generations.
To prepare children to what they are going to face, is a number one priority in order to bring a change to occur for the better.
