"Head under water and you tell me to breathe easy" - Sara Bareilles
That's my favorite lyric so far this year. When I think of this line I can almost hear the rest of the world screaming this line to America.
Africa:
We have established so many charities toward African survival and improvement. We are forced to see starving children with visible ribs and pot bellies. Our government and even some of our celebrities are shouting back that we are trying to do the best we can. I would love to think we are making some kind of dent but it's just not reality right now............
The Middle East:
Ok. I could go on about this topic forever but for your sake I'll keep it simple....
There are Iraqi citizens that are grateful we are there but the constant rebellion is relentless. There are always people who dont want change especially in the Middle East where tradition and structure is everything.
The rest of the world:
Poverty. War. Human trafficking. Inequality. Hunger. Suffering. Senseless killings. The U.S. has it's hand in pretty much every country in some way or another. It seems like the whole world is looking to us for help....meanwhile we are going through a recession our selves. Is the rest of the world expecting too much of the U.S.?
Interesting question:
"Are we almost forced into helping other countries?"

I think there is so much more that needs to be done. With all of the problems in existence, I'm not sure if we could ever solve every problem that is out there. It's just a part of life that someone is going to be struggling no matter what at some point. Our society has been built on competition and that is not going to go away anytime soon.
Yup. That's true. There will always be problems that the world will have to face. When one is solve another pops up. The world can't be perfect we are always going to have problems.
