We all new her. She was stong and prevailed no matter what was going on. We always new that she would be victorious in the end. But lately she has been missing in aciton. I read the newspapers and watch the world news shows and no one knows that she is missing. No one has even noticed that she is gone. I feel like the only one.
Who is she? She is good ole` American justice. She protects the people and ensures our safety. But now she's gone. In society today if you have enough money or a high enough position you can get out of anything. And the poor unsuspecting common person takes the blame for things they didn't do because someone needed a scape goat. People are in prison now awating execution because of something they didn't do. And everyone just goes about their lives as if nothing is different. As if she is still here.
I miss her so much. Violence and crime is going up because so many people have realized that our legal system is not as reliable as it used to be, or is it. In history several politicians have been accused of commiting scams and never paid any sort of penalty. Justice if no one else does, I miss you. I hope that one day you come back.
And now I am left with all these questions. Where did she go? How long will she be gone? When will she return? Will she ever return?
I like how you personified justice as a woman who has gone missing. Pretty cool.
