As the 352 Seniors in my high school walked across the stage to get their diplomas, some of them were thinking about the fond memories of the past four years, others about what the future held for them, and some like me were thinking PLEASE DON'T TRIP! We made it through high school with only the loss of one individual. To some reading this that might sound weird, but at my high school, we've lost to many lives in the four years I was there. It's tragic.
Some of the students who graduated are going straight into the workforce. Some into the armed forces. But the majority are going off to college. Some are going to very far colleges, while a majority are staying in MO. It's almost hard to imagine that the people i've been around since first grade won't be there next year. I'm going to a college knowing no one! I'm excited to start over, but at the same time I know I'll loose some friends. We'll grow apart and run out of things to talk about. It happens, but I'll always remember the fun times we had together!
As we all sit at home with the long summer ahead before we head off to school, we have to stay busy. Some people will go on trip after trip, others will party almost everyday, some will lay out at the lake/pool everyday, some will work, and others will just do nothing. I'll be working all summer, getting to see my cousin when he comes home from Iraq, and then heading off to school.
There's really know progressiveness to this post, more a celebration that the class of 2008 has graduated, and we have our lives ahead of us. Let's enjoy it!!
