So hey guys! I have never had a blog before but hopefully this will be interesting.
The real deal is: I'm pretty much your average teenage girl applying to college. I have a decent GPA, decent SAT scores, I play a sport and I play an instrument. The only problem is that I can't pay for college. So here is my checklist of things I have done:
-applied to many scholarships...CHECK!
- apply to many colleges to make sure I get the most money possible...CHECK!
-fill out my Fafsa and CSS...CHECK!
I'm just a few college acceptances and a couple of scholarship rejection letters short of calling up the schools that have accepted me and begging to just give me about 50,000 dollars...I mean, who's counting? So that is what brings me here; hopefully I will get enough good reviews and whatnot to get me some money for college. And the fact that I absolutely LOVE to talk shouldn't hurt me, right?
So guys, I tried to submit my blog just to find out that it's too short! I have never heard that before! I usually go on and on but I wanted to give the false impression that I could keep things short and sweet for my first blog, I guess that will have to go out the window. So I will end this blog with a little introduction of myself.
I live in a major city! Can you guess which one???
I have two little sisters, who I love dearly.
My parent's are still together.
I am going to attend a university in fall/summer 2008. I'm not a small liberal arts college kind of girl.
I play soccer and I play the tenor sax.
oh yeh, and I have a boyfriend, who I absolutely adore but sometimes is a pain the butt, but c'est la vie right? I should have plenty of stories about him. Everyone thinks we're the perfect couple but sometimes it is hard for me to see how well he really treats me ( I can be a spoiled brat most of the time).
But lets get to the issues that YOU really care about....read my next blog to find out!

Ok, here are some major tips for college that I am just finding out. It's a bit too late for me now since i've almost finished my freshmen year but... not too late for the remaining years.
1. Get as may scholarships as possible!
2. Do not go to a private school you'll end up paying like ten thousand more a year (this was my first mistake!)
3. Go to an in-state school (another mistake that I made)
4. Get as many jobs as possible (I had 3 last semester and 2 this semester and I still won't get my bill paid off)
5. Live close to home (it will be much easier to get money from your parents)
6. If possible, be a commuter (it will save mucho money for you!)
7. Get as many loans as possible!
Keep applying for scholarships! The financial aid offices at the schools your interested in should be willing to help you find financial aid that you normally couldn't elsewhere, but be ready to write those essays! Working is a great way to make some money and don't be afraid to take out loans; just be aware of how much you are raking up in debt so you can pay it off when you finish school!

As long as you keep your stories relevant, that's fine. But just some advice, usually your blogs will be better received if they're not about your love life and your personal issues.
Good luck, and happy blogging!
