I am a single mother and I also have two children. I have always worked two or three jobs to make ends meet. Sometimes I had to work places that I did not want to work, but I had to take care of my children. Nothing comes easy in life, thats how I see it. I feel like the government wants people to be in poverty before they can help you. And when people go looking for help, they treat u like u have a disease. There are jobs out here that are paying people $5.50 and $6.00 dollars an hour. How can people live off of that kind of income. Let's not talk about gas prices, rent, food, clothes, and the needs of your children if u have any. How much do we have to work? It is like u have to work two and three jobs to make. People can not afford to go to school and try to make ends meet.
I am just thankful that I have a good family that helps me and my two children, because if I did not, I do not know where I would be. I am going back to school this spring. Hopefully I will be able to find a better paying job.

I really respect that you are truly working to better yourself and make your family work. There are so many people who just give up or start making really bad decisions. I hope you find a better job!
It's very difficult. I don't know why it's so hard. I'm glad to see you prevailed through hard times and put your priorities in the correct order. Taking care of your kids are more important than buying that big house.

Good luck, and congrats and being such a hard worker.
I do have a bit of advice, though, don't settle for minimum wage. Sure, employers like cheap labor, but most places would rather have a hard worker that they have to pay more for then a 16 year old minimum wage worker.
I worked for just over minimum wage, and left for a better position with higher pay. The first job, the minimum wage one, called me and offered me 4 dollars more than minimum, but I told them I'd only come back for 7 more than minimum. (I'm writing in this confusing "more than minimum" talk because I'm not technically supposed to talk about my pay, lol. Sorry). Point is, don't settle for low pay. If you're a hard worker, the company wants you. If they want you, they're gonna pay you.
Good luck
