Teen pregnancy equals stupidity

I say 2 myself what’s up with all these girls around Pike high school getting pregnant. I say you’re stupid. You say I don’t care it was good and then u laugh u walk away wobbling....a look into the future 9 months later ur crying asking God why?! You look down into ur arms and scream out no, ur missing out on homecoming, prom and so much more, you ask your mother for help, she says NO you say BUT Y. Mom says you laid there and made that...take care of your responsibilities. Then here comes graduation...you might not be able to walk with your class because of how bad those grades are. Another girl comes to ask "Will u come to my baby shower," I say no, she says “Why” I walk about with my head hung low with such disgust on my face. As I walk to class one day me and my favorite teacher begin to count pregnant girls and young women with weaves in their hair......but before I go on lets look back to the past...moments before I see my favorite teacher I watched the school announcements...a segment was on about what to get people for Christmas. They go through cd's, DVD’s and gift cards, then comes this boy saying "don’t know what to get ur baby mama…then get her this..." and they show a Graco Baby swing. I guess they think this is a joke...I don’t think it’s funny. I think young women (like myself) should have their heads in the school books and instead of having sex in the bed they need to be reading or doing homework...in that bed......we teens are still children ourselves so y do some of us have 3, 2, or 1 kid. We hear Webbie talking about women being i.n.d.e.p.e.n.d.e.n.t. when some of us don’t even know how to spell independent. We hear Keyisha Cole talking bout love...that’s what u think it is until he finds out ur pregnant.....you listen 2 Akon talking bout I wanna love you, and then you feel a itch....its because you messed with someone who got something from your best friend last week. I bet u didn’t even know that Beethoven’s mom also had 7 other kids, 3 who were deaf, 2 were blind, 1 mentally retarded and she had syphilis. Well if that girl listened in that class maybe she would know. Well back to the present and onto my future. Oh yea by the way we counted 12 pregnancies and 27 weaves, in 3 minutes.

Scary, scary shit. At my school, I count four, and no weaves... but that equals out to about 2% of my school. I like what you are saying, but your format confuses me.... Is it a poem? A song? Is it a paper? The lack of paragraphs (and grammar in some cases) make it sort of hard to follow.

thanks for the tips

Following up on what coldstar said. It isn't generally appreciated when you do things like use u for you, 2 for two, etc. Also, paragraphs are great. It helps people read your blog.

How incredibly judgemental of you.

Did you know that 70% of girls who have sex before the age of 16 report that they didn't actually WANT to have sex, but were pressured or even forced into it?

Why aren't you blaming the guys?

Guys are JUST as responsible in the pregnancy part. You can have 100 girls having sex and the only ones to look down on are the ones who end up pregnant and only because there is physical proof that that girl is sexually active.

I had two friends in high school get pregnant and both were using protection. There are plenty of partners who do not use protection, they just got lucky.

Like the quote states, "It takes two to tangle," but girls have the choice in most cases on whether or not they want to have sex (I agree to that part). It is a girl's choice on whether or not they want to keep the baby and live with the consequences. The only thing I have opposition to is pregnant girls playing soccer. Recently, two girls were kicked off the team because we found out they were pregnant. Do you comprehend how physical soccer is? Well, people shove, push, and can kick the ball at your stomach!!! This pissed me off that the girls would put their babies at risk and sure it angers me to see pregnant girls, but at least they are keeping the baby or giving it up for adoption.

If you saw a pregnant girl, you probably would think that it is all her fault? Well, what if the girl was raped and decided to keep the baby? I haven't meet a girl who was pregnant because of this reason, but Im sure this exists.

Did you read my post? Most girls under the age of sixteen didn't even want to have sex. x.x

Yeah and I agree with you. Hey were you the one who experienced that? I have read many blogs and I think you were the one who wrote something on the topic.

Experienced what? Most girls have experienced pressure or coercion in some way into sex, are you referring to actual rape? If so, yes, I've experienced the latter.

Yeah, that is what I was referring to.

This post was incredibly judgmental, and to top it off it was incoherently written.
Also, the girls that have bad grades and use pregnancy as an excuse just don't want to pass bad enough to do the required work. There is nothing about pregnancy that inhibits learning or prevents one from doing schoolwork, even while on bedrest.
