I am sick of racism. By that, I don't mean just the KKK, Skin Heads, and other such organizations. I'm sick of the NAACP, United Negro College Fund, and those organizations. Why do we care about race? All I hear during campaign is how "Obama is getting the black vote." "How can Hillary get the black vote?"
Why does the color of your skin matter to your political affiliation?
I can understand if one is an imigrant, then it matters. However, all American citizens should have the same rights. It should not matter what color your skin is in order to get funding for college, or to be advanced in society.
In fact, race should not be used for anything other than a physical discription. There is nothing different about blacks than whites, whites than Asians, Asians than Latinos, or Latinos than blacks. We are all the same, we all have flesh, blood, emotions, opinions, loves, and pains. Any similarities within a race are best discribed as coincidence and shouldn't be carried over into a stereotype or maxim for all of that color.
I am white. I'm not wealthy. My parents don't own businesses. My parents are not wealthy; they never have been. Furthermore, my mother was raised in the intercity by white parents. Where are your stereotypes, your prejudice, your "understanding" now?
My point: race is frivolous.
