The Good Book.

i work at a library, and we have the holy bible there.
obviously they sort the books alphabetically and or according to the library of
congress call numbers.
well shelving the bible one day i noticed it is placed in the non-fiction area
of the library, this puzzled me.
it puzzled me because the last time i checked the bible is nothing more than
stories to help aid one in life's paroles journey. they are not true stories,
which would make the book fiction.
i don't care if you agree or disagree with me, but the truth is the truth, if a
book is fiction it belongs in fiction. there is no evidence that any of the
stories in the bible are true, other than the fact that jesus was a real man
and was really crucified, but where are the miracles or where is noah's arch?

another thing that is upsetting and i think unfair in a country based upon
freedom and fair and just treatment of all. why is it that we only have the
holy bible and not the quran, or the book of mormons? we do however have the
book of satan... is this to imply that only christian religion is the only
religion in the world because that is all the library carries books on? don't
get me wrong there are books on muslims, jews, and mormons but yet no religious
doctrines such as the holy bible.

the only thing about the bible being at the library that i agree with,
is that the call number begins with BS, that's right the bible is bull shit and
accurately labeled as such in the public library.

I am so very sorry to hear that you view the Bible as a fairy tale or fiction novel. When I last checked, people for centuries have been trying to prove the Bible wrong. It has only always been a matter of time until evidence backs up the Bible once again. History, science, archeology...all of it is in there. May I ask you a question? Have you ever once opened the Bible for yourself to see if you could possibly find some ounce of truth in it? May I tell you of a book that maybe you need to read before you make some of these claims? There is a man by the name of Lee Strobel and he set out to prove the Bible wrong. After years of studying, talking to people who know the Bible inside and out, studying evidence of every sort, and traveling to the places that are mentioned in the Bible, he could no longer deny the truth of this ancient book. It changed his life. The book is called the Case for Christ. Check it out. The evidence is there; you just have to look for it.

i have read the bible, and the quran, and the book of mormons, and i've studied buddhism and i've even read the tanakh. i do not see a shred of truth in any of these books, because i am well educated and know the truth from a bunch of drugged up out of their minds, men writing and interpreting the truth of so called miracles and fantasies. i don't look to fairytales to help me cope with life's trials. i face them head on. i do not believe in a god or any form of gods. if i succeed it is because i worked hard, if i fail it is because i was not at my best or did not know the facts about what i was getting into.
i am a history major and there are no truthful facts about any religions other than a bunch of grief and wars caused all in the name of religion. all religion is, is a crutch for the human race to lean on when they feel scared, hopeless or need something to organize a cause in their belief. the bible is hypocritical along with every organized religion on earth. anyone that still believes in a god is still living in the past, just as the ancient greeks and even before them. you're scared, you're hopeless, and you're lost.
i know who i am, i've been around the world, i've fought in war, and i don't let life kick me when i'm down. the truth is we're all made up of organisms that have fully evolved and continue to evolve to this day.
i can not respect any religion especailly those formed int he 1500's-1900's and even current to day religions that form. the oldest religion on earth is wicken/wicca or witch craft, next would be the jews and then muslims... tell me where does christianity fall into these religions, i'll tell you. they stole their ideas and shaped them to fit their needs and wants of there time. just as the formers of other types of christianity. the only thing religions agree on that i can agree on is the acceptance of others and peace on earth, however all religions exclude one of those ideas and that's acceptance.
believe what you will but you wont convince me of lies and stories in a book written by a man.

"when I was 5 years old I realized.
there was a road and at the end you come face to face with your soul.
you ask yourself do you deserve to live?
or are you gonna burn in hell for all the things you did?
you have a million stories to tell.
don't believe in heaven cause you live in hell.
but did you live your life right?
where will you go after that long kiss goodnight?
here i am.
i'm not afraid of you.
you never answered my prayers.
and now you're gonna punish me.
FUCK YOU!
can it be so simple. can it be so plain.
you lived your life. it's just one big game." - cold world

The Bible is not fiction to many many people, myself included. I think it would be offensive and blasphemous to put it in the fiction section. If someone was looking for a copy of the Bible, it is not likely that they would go to the fiction section. I'm sorry that you see it as merely a collection of stories. Even from a politically correct standpoint, who would it offend more to put it in the section they disagree with. I believe Christians would be highly offended and angry at its location in the fiction section while others might simply be irked by its supposed incorrect location.

the best part was that both of you looked over the fact that i brought up the point that no other bible except the satanic bible are kept at the library. one minded simians. out freaking standing.
to content on shunning me.

There's some evidence for you.

Some parts of the bible are just records of blood lines and where people came from. Psalms were written by a king named David who relied on God to get him through everything from life's problems to great battles in wars. The epistles in the new testament are letters to churches in the middle eastern countries encouraging them to do good work in the Lord. The gospels (first five books of the new testament: matthew, mark, luke, and john) were written by those people. They detail the life of Jesus as they saw it happen. All four books blend together for the complete story. Then, there are about 12 (I could be a little off) books of prophecy in the old testament. Many of them came true in the new testament (which occured 400 years after the last old testament book) some of them have yet to come true, but I fully believe they will. The Bible has yet to be wrong. The proof is there. God has a plan for everybody and God loves everybody. I encourage you to research it for yourself.

Here are some prophecies and the ways in which they have been fulfilled:

help me jesus save me from this mind you gave me.
i'm holding on but self-control will soon betray me.
and when it's gone live in fear cuz nothing stops me.
it's not my fault won't take the blame, it's your god who made me!
so while you're praying for your dreams,i'm lurking in the shadows preying on your screams.
had enough time to strike at the helpless victims.
two kinds of people in this world, the weak and those who eat them.
born to kill got the skills from my uncle sam.
you know my pleasure is your pain it makes me who i am.
tested time and again by useless fucks, now you want to step up and try your luck.
before you blink your eyes you'll pay for your crimes.
crucified and left to die it was assisted suicide.

the classic struggle of good and evil has brought me to my knees.
my mind is so filled with hate.
one hundred demons possessing me.
your kind never inspired me, you never offered your hand.
just told me who i should be, but you don't know who i am.
you say i dwell on the negative well it's a part of my life.
until you've tasted how i live, keep your fucking advice to yourself.
all that time you wasted preaching to the converted...
a lifetime of hard luck, still can't make me give up.
time has conquered youth but the angers still inside.
it doesn't come from hate, it's from a sense of pride.

Depending of circumstances that might arise so called loving Christians or other individuals that live their lives in doctrine of religion are brainwashed enough to become individuals that take life without questioning their act. The same way a soldier send to war is not responsible when killing whomever that is pointed out being the enemy (kids included)!

This doctrine is not only sick, but it keeps the whole of this planet in a vicious circle, only to please the one’s that collect by enforcing fear in order to satisfy their greed!

Greed of power, money and political control over as many individuals possible and by any means possible!

The ones keeping this vicious circle alive and going are the ones that box up children’s minds!

It would be better for people to sometimes see beyond their religion and beliefs in order to consider or maybe even question some of the mental traps that accompany their faith, instead of always referring to quotes mentioned in those bestsellers!

When lost in doubt whenever facing a freethinker, most find refuge by pulling up their defence mechanism by running into wonderland of the One that is founded and pushed upon a silly “hope” for that ticket to paradise.

To accomplish something one needs to step out of the

“I’m living in hope for that heaven ticket” mode or attitude.

To enable one in doing so, one needs to learn and take responsibility for his/her actions.

Individuals that link every lived moment of cheer happiness or misery to God’s interference always end up in a state of desperation with delusional effect.

Even Mother Theresa ended up like that!

The most inspiring and talented elements surrounding our lives are children, if we focus upon “all” our children, we open up the door towards a better future for all, meaning that we don’t need to spend our last minutes alive apologizing to whomever because of fear and guilt!

To linger around dwelling in a state of “hope” is not the right path to follow.

People need to focus! Therefore people need to wake up in order to face reality and change it to the better from the “inside out” until the right balance brings us freedom.

Why does one has to see a priest to confess after sinful behaviour, while God is able to see one’s sin even before it has been committed?

All forms religion and mental abuse that accompany religion are in relation with the vagina!

Religions are the roots of all sexual frustration because they affect the most important thing in live which is sexual freedom!

religion is the reason for most of the wars of the past and into the future.
so long as there are fanatics who believe it is their way or the high way the world will see no peace. sure religion has provided some good things that should be very few things, but it is the reason for more bad things.

just because someone doesn't believe in a god or gods doesn't mean they are not a model citizen, and what might be a model citizen in one place may not be in another.
besides, religion is so hypocritical, nothing but unproven stories told by mad men. if people used critical thinking more than anything they'd see that they could question to death that which does not really exist.

not to mention there are countless religious people that question their religion using those critical thinking skills and just like wombels said about mother theresa, there are countless others that see the truth and discredit the faith so many believe to be true.

Where do you stand and what do you believe? Who and what are you? What do you believe makes us human? Where did demons come from?

It's just that, after reading some of your comments responses, I tried putting myself in your shoes. But I have a lot of unanswered questions now, so are you ok with all that? Or, you have answers that I don't know of?

= = =
Life is short. Eternity isn't.

i don't believe in anything, other than we are an evolved species of animals.
who i am, is a human. from an animal species that is the highest evolved on the planet we call earth. demons are nothing more than those evil thoughts inside every human that posses us to do evil things when we choose to listen to them (our subconscious if you will). and evil is just that, bad choices things that are bad. things considered by others to be harmful to others and to one's self, yet may not be to others. (one man’s trash is another man’s treasure).

as for being in my shoes you wouldn't want to nor could you ever walk in my shoes. you will never understand me. there are things we just do out of former instinct and other things that we do because we choose to (consciously or subconsciously).
