Ok so this story is now 7 days old, I am sorry if someone else already posted it on this site, but I figured it was worth noting just in case!
Discovery News released a story on Monday, March 3, entitled "Blogging's Good for Your Health." Check out the story here --> http://dsc.discovery.com/news/2008/03/03/blogging-social-health.html. I think its worth reading, and it will probably make you feel a little better out being on the site. The story references MySpace blogging as an example. I am not a fan of MySpace personally, but it is still an interesting story.
I think the important point is that when we blog we are expressing emotions and connecting with others in an online community. It is nice to get ideas out of your head, and to see what other people think about them. I have to say that the few blog posts I've made so far have made me a little less worrysome as they relate to topics that have been on mind for days distracting me from more productive avenues of thought. It is nice too to get completely alternative and new commentary on topics that I've already discussed with my own friends and family.
It's a pretty cool story, very short, so check it out! Happy blogging!

sometimes people blog to say what they want about a certain topic and hope that people will at least read it. Bands post blogs to say what the latest news is or what new items are in their store, whatever. I blog to say how i feel so i dont have to call anybody and cry, i can cry on the internet
It definatly makes sense that blogging is good for your health. After all, isn't the release of emotions that are kept in the purpose of diaries or journals also? Blogging just lets these emotions out to the world instead of a piece of paper, which definatly has its ups and downs. I couldn't let out everything on a blog page, personally, but the simple writing of a blog or journal entry is very theraputic.
