So, I've never had a blog before. I'm a noob. I came across this when searching for scholarships. It seems interesting. I don't have an extremely boring life. My life is just kind of boring. I just want to graduate high school and get away from the drama queens and jocks that live off of drama, fighting, and stabbing people in the back. I do have a boyfriend. I'll call him A in my blog. I've been with him for like four months. We're complete opposites, but I've found that our similar interest in art brings us together. His love for old 70s punk and oldies clashes with my Indie/R&B taste occasionally, but for the most part I enjoy punk and oldies too; he's just obsessed with it. haha Why does this have to be at least 200 words? What if my daily life doesn't consist of 200 words of description? Do I just mumble on about things that viewers would have no clue what I'm talking about? Oh jeez.
Oh and I love love love love loveee the New England Patriots. And they are going to win the Superbowl today against the Giants. Yes, Tom Brady's ankle hurts, but he's a stud. He'll pull through for us. Eli Manning will just be crying his eyes out on the sidelines as Bill Belichick is holding the Superbowl trophy.

Welcome to ProgressiveU. We require 200 words of content because blog posts should be well thought out and have something to say. We were getting a lot of 100 word posts that didn't really have any point, so our users requested that we do something about it.
Feel free to check out the FAQs, if you have any questions. And definitely check out some of the other posts for ideas on what type of posts ProgressiveU usually houses. We don't mind hearing about your daily life occasionally, but what we really like to read are posts about something important to you, whether it's a current event, politics, a social justice issue, or something else along those lines.
The contest doesn't start until February 15th so anything you post before then won't count towards the contest. However, I would encourage you to keep blogging in the meantime. It's a great way to get a feel for ProgressiveU and how things run around here, as well as to get your name out there and begin to pick up readers. The more readers your blog gets, the better off you will be once the contest starts.

So much for those Patriots... heh heh...
What Fallon said. You won't get a whole lot of readership if you just come on here and write 200 words about your day. Sure, if something traumatic happens (like your cousin, mother, sister, etc dies), then feel free to come and talk about it. But typically, we don't want to hear about high school drama. We want to hear about how women (or men) are treated unfairly, your ideas about how to fix the problems in our society, etc.
