Okay so I have been best friends with my friend Jacquline for seven years. She had been dateing the same guy for two an a half years now, his name is Daniel. He lives in a apartment with two other guys David and Nick. I have been talking with David for a long time and like him. Daniel works with me at work and after work on friday he told me I should go to his apartment to hang with David, unannouced. I did not want to at first because I didnt want to scare David by just showing up, seeing that I liked him. But after I got off work at one in the morning I decide Hell okay I will. I went to their apartment and someone lost track of time. Daniel got off work at like three in the morning and went back to the apartment where David, Nick and I were chilling. So Daniel shows up and well all just have a good harmless fun time. I watch them play video games and we drive to CVS to get cigarettes and Jack in the Box. Around six in the morning I end up just crashing on the floor and go to sleep.
The next day I leave early in the morning because I have to go to work and my parents had been calling all night long and I had never answered. Concidering that I never came home the night before and they didnt know where I was. So I go home to talk with them and stuff, then I call my best friend Jacquline and tell there what I did the night before. She got extremly mad at me for hanging out with her boyfriend and spending the night at his apartment. First of all it was not just HIS apartment, David pays the rent to. I went over to the apartment before her boyfriend had even gotten off work. I wanted to hang out with David and Nick not Daniel. She still got mad at me, I have not idea why. I did nothing wrong. She even asked me where I slept at. ??? Omg I would never sleep with her boyfriend I almost slept in Davids bed but not Daniels. I just feel like I had fun and she is mad because of that. I plan on hanging out with them again. She broke up with her boyfriend Daniel today. Not because of me but for other reasons and now when I hang out with David, Daniel and Nick it is going to be akwark because I dont want Jacquline to think I am trying to get with her ex. I do not want that at all, I just like to hang out with them their fun. I like David, (he is not my boyfriend though) and she is just jelous I think.
So do you think was wrong of me to spend the night at her boyfriends apartment?

You don't like her ex, you like her ex's friend. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
To put it bluntly, your friend needs a harsh reality check.
It wasn't wrong of you to spend the night at the apartment (in terms of your friendship at least, you shouldn't have without your parents' permission) because you were there for David. However, since Daniel and your friend broke up, maybe its not the greatest idea to hang around him if its not okay with your friend, since it'd be like you're taking his side. Maybe just hang out with David alone unless your friend is okay with you hanging out with David too.
I don't see anything wrong with it. Like you said, it wasn't just his apartment. Your friend should trust you and her boyfriend enough to know that nothing bad is going to happen between the two of you.
