This is so very crazy!

I was reading on FoxNews.com and I came across the most unbelievable story. First of all let me begin by telling you that you can take anyone to court, for any reason. After hearing this story, I came to the conclusion that there are no boundries when it comes to what you can take someone to court for.

Your not going to believe this when you hear it, but a man in Colorado is scheduled to go on trial because he threw a snowball, yes a snowball, at one of his co workers. I can understand someone getting mad at for somebody else throwing something at them, but a snowball?

He is going on trial for third degree assault charges, that is up to two years in jail. If he goes to jail, I really dont know what this world is coming to. Why is she taking him to court? She said that the snowball "hurt" her.

Just think about it. They are using taxpayer dollars, your money, to bring this man to trial in December. This is absolutly crazy to me. I think it is just dumb that people can sue for such things. I know I dont want my tax money to go to something as unimportant as this.

What about you? Do you think that this is not right?

It's mainly because of the atmosphere that lawyers have created. They try to put it into everyones minds that someone somewhere somehow has wronged them, and by taking said imaginary person to court, that vicitm is set for life. It's absolutely ridiculous that we have such juveniles claiming to be adults running around suing each other over hot coffee and snowballs.

First of all, when you read a story on FOX news go read the same story on CNN to get a more balanced report. I'm not familiar with this case, but it might have a background futher than the snowball. Maybe sexual harrasment.

A snowball, when densely packed and thrown with force, can kill someone. Even a snowball that isn't thrown very hard can kill a person if they are hit in the right place. I bruise very easily due to a medical condition, and being hit with a snowball would cause very serious pain for me. In that situation, I would press charges as well. The workplace is not a place for snowball fights.
