I generally vote for Republicans. However, the republican canidates really kinda suck. The only one in my opinion that had a good chance was Mitt Romney. I would vote for him because he is a conservative. His record for things he voted for are what I believe is right. But, he now has suspended his campaign. I absolutely cannot stand McCain. He is such a joke. Mike Huckabee needs to drop out in order to not split the vote. He pretends to be conservative and people are buying it. I have abandon the idea of just sticking to a party. I believe that the voting record and personal life play a huge deciding factor in who should be president. I refuse to vote for Barak Obama. He reminds me of a terrorist in disguise. I know that is kind of shallow. What sealed if for me with him was the not putting his hand on his heart during a patriotic song. In order to run a country you must love that country. I question whether he really loves this country. Alot of people have said that that is a small thing. I beg to differ! You must be patriotic to be president. You must be willing to put your hand on a bible and be sworn in. It is the way the country works. Any man who says that if terrorists attack this country, he will just let it happen and not fight back. I am totally appalled by that. If he becomes president I feel we are in for it. Not to mention his background being raised in a muslim family. Not all muslims are terrorists but there is the brotherhood kind of idea with them.. Obama will not fight back if we are attacked. Why? Because the terrorists are his brother? I would like a good answer for that. I will vote for Hilary before I vote for Mccain or Huckabee or Obama. While Hilary has her own issues. I would rather have her than any of the others.
If Obama wins. I am contemplating leaving this country. I don't want my children to suffer through this man. He is terrifying and a smoothe talker he spells a certain destruction for this country in my opinion.
This country has become so soft hearted it is disgusting sometimes. Humanitarians. I believe we need to fight for our freedom. I want world peace and the only way that will happen is to be able to fight for. You have to have a victory. Our soldiers cannot go into Iraq and claim victory because of the humanitarians. I don't get it. Since when did someone who is a terrorist have ANY rights?? They are terrorists. They deserve to die! Let the soldiers go in and stomp these terrorist groups into the ground. A terrorist wouldn't think twice about shooting you or chopping off your head, why should they have rights? Rights as humans? Of course they are human but they are murderers. They don't think twice about what they do. It is Allah or die with them. If we are not careful they will come to our soil again and nothing will be done. I believe we need to break their will to fight. If they feel like they aren't getting anywhere and stomped left and right eventually they will lose moral and give up eventually. What is happening with our troops? Some are loosing moral and hope of ever coming home? Let them fight, Let them claim victory. Victory for the Iraqi people. Victory for freedom.
Soldiers will come home and defend our borders.
Where OUR country is going..

"Since when did someone who is a terrorist have ANY rights??"
It seems contradictory to the values and ethics that our country has ostensibly stood for since the Revolution. By torturing terrorists in the name of liberty, are we not also destroying an integral aspect of what America was and is? As for me, I'd rather die honorably than live in safety, knowing that I had compromised the rights of another human, however repulsive and evil. There is a saying, "lie down with the pigs and you get up dirty." I believe wholeheartedly in that. We should not sink to the terrorists' level.
And as for it being for the Americans' safety, how credible are their confesssions if they are tortured out of the confessors? They might be willing to confess to anything, true or untrue, if only to stop the torture.
I don't believe in torture. Just stomp them out. What ever they confess to is probably a lie in the first place..
So I agree. I don't want to see torture. Torture is terrible. But they won't think twice about torturing you or I.. What is one to do about that?
Yeah, seriously! Just kill em! Kill em all! Kill all them Muslims and go after them Russian Commies while you're on the same continent. Then we'll clean up house in the good ol' God-Bless-The-US -- round up them heathen science teachers and hairy-legged feminists, folks!
Seriously, you said you're pro-life on your other blog but good grief, take a look at what you're writing here. Hate always breeds more hate. Hate plus hate has never and will never equal world peace.
Not all muslims are terrorists but there is the brotherhood kind of idea with them.
I'm not even sure how that makes sense. You're essentially saying:
A) Obama was raised in a Muslim family.
B) Not all Muslims are terrorists.
C) BUT Muslims will totally defend terrorism to protect their own.
D) Therefore, Obama is practically in cahoots in Al'Qaeda!
You're right -- not ALL Muslims are terrorists. The ones who are terrorists are generally considered extremists by the mainstream Muslim. Just as the die-hard Christians who blow up abortion clinics are considered extremists by the mainstream Christian. Regardless of which religion you pick, extremism and fundamentalist religious views are never good and will almost invariably lead to hatred of other groups and "ordained" subjugation.
By the way, saying "I don't hate Muslims -- why, I've got a Muslim friend!" after saying, essentially, that there's a giant Muslim conspiracy out get us white bread 'Murricans, doesn't mean anything. That's like saying, "Well, there should never be a black president because it's kind of obvious that black people just want to get back at white people because all that slavery stuff. But I mean, I'm not racist! No, seriously, I totally have a black friend, you guys!" Thanks for the credentials. I've now realized that what you REALLY mean is that you aren't racist, you're just...um...well, I don't know but you totally can't be racist because you said you've got some Muslim friends.
Finally, why does it matter if Obama (or anyone, for that matter) swears on the bible? You say being patriotic is important in a presidential candidate, lest he or she sell us out to enemy. Fair enough. But why is sticking your hand on a bible or over your heart or wearing a flag lapel pin considered patriotic? How does THAT make someone patriotic? Is just because everyone else is doing it? Because that's just the way things are done? Personally, I find the whole 'swear on the bible' thing quite outdated and fairly useless but if you think it's a great idea...why? Sticking your hand a on a bible and promising that for reals you love America doesn't make a Real True American anymore than it makes you a Real True Christian. After all, if you're a Real True Christian, you shouldn't be swearing on anything, let alone your religious manuscript, remember?
And Obama did swear on the bible...

thanks for the comments. I will look into what you have said. I may sound like a hypocrite. I don't want to sound like that. I try not to be. I don't remember what I said in this blog. I may have to re write it.
This would be much easier to read with an empty space between paragraphs. It's easier on the eyes and other users really appreciate it.

I didn't think about that.. Thanks for your comments.
OK, I think you've got some pretty big misinformation on Obama. I honestly don't care how he expresses his patriotism. As for not striking back, Obama has been pretty loud on the willingness to strike back. Your whole Muslim Brotherhood thing is also kind of silly. If that was true, how do you explain Darfur?
"I believe we need to fight for our freedom. I want world peace and the only way that will happen is to be able to fight for."
The only way to get it is not to breed an environment of fear and hatred among third-world countries for the western world.
"You have to have a victory. Our soldiers cannot go into Iraq and claim victory because of the humanitarians."
And what exactly is victory in Iraq? Creating a functioning Democratic nation? We'd have to be there for generations. Killing all the insurgents? How, when every day our presence breeds more of them.
"Since when did someone who is a terrorist have ANY rights?? They are terrorists. They deserve to die!"
A) Since that terrorist is a human being.
B) If you consider the Iraqi insurgents terrorists, wouldn't you also have to consider the Continental Army terrorists? They used guerrilla tactics. And they weren't notoriously friendly to Tories.
"Let the soldiers go in and stomp these terrorist groups into the ground."
Fine. Where are they? Who are they? How do we stop them from recruiting?
"A terrorist wouldn't think twice about shooting you or chopping off your head, why should they have rights? Rights as humans? Of course they are human but they are murderers."
Then our soldiers are also murderers. I have no sympathy for a person who kills a crowd of innocents, but how can we apply one standard to them and another to us?
"They don't think twice about what they do."
Oh, really? I'd like to see some evidence of that. Do you really think people are all cavalier about blowing themselves up?
"It is Allah or die with them."
Nonsense. They want us to stop meddling in the region's affairs.
"If we are not careful they will come to our soil again and nothing will be done."
Yeah. I'm sure, after seeing the results of 9/11, that people will be lining up to provoke us into invading their part of the world.
"I believe we need to break their will to fight."
And how do you do that? A person who feels he has nothing, who is cornered, how do you break his will to fight. Oppress him even more? :)) That is a notoriously bad tactic. If you want people to stop being your enemy, you become their friend. You don't tell them what to do, how to live.
"If they feel like they aren't getting anywhere and stomped left and right eventually they will lose moral and give up eventually."
They are getting somewhere. By continuing to put up a fight, they have turned public opinion in America strongly against the war in Iraq.
"What is happening with our troops? Some are loosing moral and hope of ever coming home? Let them fight, Let them claim victory."
I think the better answer is to let them come home....
"Victory for the Iraqi people. Victory for freedom."
How can you force freedom on a people. That doesn't make sense. Oh, and if you look around in the world and at history, you will see the trend that countries who suddenly become democracies, without any history of it in at least a small scale, tend to fail miserably.

Those are some very good points. I believe I need to read more history and find out more about Barak. I appreciate your comments. Thanks :)
Cool.
And, just saying, if you click the reply button at the bottom of a text box, it will allow you to reply directly to a comment and can make conversations easier to follow.
I just saw that you did that with Fallon's comment, so if you already got this tidbit, sorry for repeating.

Yeah I figured that after I wrote to you. I appreciate it tremendously though. :)
niteowlgirl72 Some of the statements you made are ridiculous and seem to have undercurrent prejudice. what is the real reason you wouldn't vote for obama. (all muslims aren't terroists)
Not prejudice in the least. I will admit that what I have heard of Obama is only from other people. I have not looked into the man for myself. I am at this moment looking into what the man stands for. Race has nothing to with why I would or wouldn't vote for him. Just the things I have heard, I didn't agree with. In my blog I did state that all muslims aren't terrorists..There are some who are very good people I have a few friends who are muslim. So.. I am going to make an informed decision. I will choose the canidate that I think will do the best job. Thanks for your comments.
Where is a good place to get some decent information about Barak? Anyone?
If you PM me your email address I can send you what I have. I volunteer with an organization that does voter education and one of our volunteers put together information and resources on all candidates that we send out to the state chapters for voter education purposes.
Aside from that, check out places like Project Vote Smart, On the Issues (http://www.ontheissues.org/Barack_Obama.htm), Media Matters, etc for sources. Just remember to read between the lines and double check facts. FactCheck.org and similar places post fact checks on political candidates... I'm not sure of veracity, but it's a place to start with fact checking.
