Pro-Choice or Pro-life. Should government be able to make it illegal to have an abortion? These seem to be major issues of discussion these days.
First people should know the difference between Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. You can see stickers all over the place supporting one or the other, but is one better than the other?
Pro-Life supports the government in their choice to make abortion illegal. Yes it is immoral. Taking an unborn human and killing it. It's like murder right? ;'( No one wants to be a murderer.
Pro-Choice allow the mother to choose if she wants to have the child or not. This stand-point is more open. What if in giving birth to the child, it puts the mother and child's lives in danger? Both could die. What about a rape victim? What about a child of 12-16 years old having a child?
Those people who are strickly pro-life would say that the child must be born no matter what! /::) Pro-Life is not always the best choice. The sercumstance should be accounted for. However, Pro-Choice can be bad too. If a mother finds out that she is carrying a child of the wrong sex or with a mental disability (with high false-positive rates), is it then okay for the mother to have an abortion? Pro-Choice can only best a good choice if the mother does not abuse her right to an abortion.
The government should not be allowed to make abortion illegal, because it is taking away one of our personal freedoms. Each person must be able to take into consideration all of the circumstances and options before she decided to have or not have an abortion. Pro-Choice has my vote, but you MUST weigh all the options!

I agree there are times when it is unacceptable to get abortions, but only third trimester abortions that lack serious health risks. Other than that....

A person can decide to keep a child or not but in my opinion I would never kill an unborn child no matter the circumstance because a child is a precious gift.
While I must only be an observer of sorts, since I'm not a woman, I would pretty much agree with you.
