I persoanlly don't know if she does, but it would be different to have a woman in office. From my observations, women with a drive, intellect, and political clout can/ have been on the rise. They often are coming to a situation or office with a different drive than a man; they mostly run the home; so why not? Give a woman a chance, and right now, Hillary Clinton seems to be one of the best available to us.
Do you think that Hillary Clinton stands a good chance to become President of the US?

I think she has got a chance, but she is scary sometimes.
i do not believe that Hilleary point of view.
What is it about her point of view that you don't believe in and think would be a hinderance to her becoming our nation's next president?
if shes anything like bill clinton..then heck yes!! we need that guy back!

She might have a chance. I have the feeling that many women who dont vote will get off their butts and vote for her. Although it would be awesome to have a women prez, I'm not sure I want it to be her.
I don't think she has a snow balls chance in hell of being President, times have changed but the baby boom population is still around in great numbers and many of them still have their ideologies about the kinds of work a woman is suitable for. Until they die out I don't think we'll see a president that isn't a white male.
I'm with smcccaluley
Hillary Clinton is the same person who sided with Jack Thomspon on the whole debate involving violent video games' effect on children. She's for the idea of getting rid of violent video games. Not that this matters to a majority of people, but censorship in any form is censorship.
She also wrote that book about it taking a community to raise a child. Definitely not a good choice for candidacy.

Her thoughts on it taking a community to raise a child are shared by many Americans. You don't feel that makes her a good candidate?
was that she thinks it takes a government(more htan a community) to raise your child. Even child safety advocates don't like that pt of view much
I don't think a woman should be president. I especially don't think Hilary Clinton should be president. I think the majority of women make decisions on emotions, not all women and not all decisions. I am a young woman.
What if a woman president makes a decision for the country based on emotions? I think Hilary is dangerous! Unfortunately it is a possibility.
Tcole just because the baby boomers will eventually die does not mean that their values, which are a great variety of viewpoints, are not being passed on to future generations.
It's certainly a good thing that the decisions our president makes go before a senate and a house and several other persons along the way, before they're acted upon. I'm not sure that our country is quite ready for a female as it's leader, but it's not too far off that it won't work.
I think Hilary is a little too conservative for my taste, but a defenite improvement to the Bush Regime.
However, I don't think she can be elected. A) because there's plenty of bigots (male and female) that don't think she can lead our nation because she menstruates and B) because there's a huge and growing GOP foundation.
I really think she would be a good leader. I hope people lose their discriminatory beliefs and realize that even a conservative democrat is better than a slave to GOP fat cats.
er... in response to the videogame comment:
No one wants to "get rid" of violent videogames. Some people just think it prudent to let parents have more control over what their kids can and can't play. I really don't care, but I don't see how videogames play such a large role in voting strategy.
And why does it bother you that a child should be raised by a community. I haven't read the book, but it seems like a feasable idea.
I hope these aren't your only reasons for rejecting an able and qualified candidate.
No. Even if our country WAS ready (and by "our country" I mean the few who vote) for a female president, and we're currently too close-minded/scared for that, it would not be Hillary Clinton. There are too many people who dislike her or associate her with Bill Clinton's questionable conduct (but don't get me started on that, just like at JFK. Everyone treats him like a God and he was a million times more promiscuous than Clinton).
Sorry to Hillary, it's not going to happen.
No she will not. Not sure why I think this way, but I do
i think that she doesnt have that much of a chance because most of the presidents have been white males.unless america has changs alot, she doesnt really have much of a chance.
So eloquent.. 10+ points.
If it had to be a woman Hillary Clinton for president would be the best choice for American. As a woman with political drive and knowledge, I think she would be able to lead sucessfully. On the other hand, I don't think America is ready for a woman in such a position of power.
When would we be ready?
I'm ready... I think a whole lot of people are ready. The majority, however- is not.
WASPS, certain ethnic minorities (such as Blacks and Latinos) would probably not fully support a woman.
As long as women are slaves to their wombs and a woman in power carries the title of "Bitch," America will not be ready for a female president.
I can't stand her. She is the senator of New York and unfortunetly that is the state I live in. She has not done one fricken thing. Ny has the highest taxes than any other state and if she where to become president, she would raise taxes for everyone else and the job economy is very poor and with less jobs and higher taxes how in the world are we going keep up the demand with working hard for hardly nothing and trying to support our familys? I highly suggest she step down for the election.
