NOTICE: This is a blog about stereotypes. About how before you can blame a race for problems you have to look and see why there are stereotypes. They exist for a reason. I do believe that racism exist. I live one hour away from the KKK. This is not saying that Black people are bad or horrible. This is saying that WHITE people are NOT bad or horrible. There are always some in every group that are bad, but not everyone. Please read he blog and find the message with in. Not the stereotypes listed.
This is a response to all the blogs about how black people are stepped on and how there is so much discrimination. I myself am Irish American. There used to be signs that would so no Irish allowed etc. So stop whining and just work for what you want.
Black people believe that there is racism and make excuses for themselves. They say they can't get an education because the White people have the better schools. They say they can't go to college because it's expensive so another way for them to weed out the poor black people. They say they can't get a job because the white people don't want to hire them. Stop making excuses.
White people have no excuse. Stop whining and just work.
If black people would stop calling each other Nigger then maybe they would raise up to a higher level. If black men stopped having babies everywhere then maybe they would help their future by not having daddyless children. If black women would stop underestimating their worth by not allowing boys to have sex with them then maybe they wouldn't be on welfare. Look at Oprah. She was in the ghetto and was pregnant. She had a miscarriage and turned her life around.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
I understand that sometimes all the whining can be annoying, but I saw discrimination first hand. The last place I worked needed to hire people, but if a black person came up asking about a job the manager would refer them to another store. The manager would also cut the hours of the black people to make them quit, she never fired any of them. Also black people aren't the only ones having sex and having babies. I knew this white girl that was with a new guy every night. Thank god she hasn't got pregnant yet. There are other voices out there that aren't as loud, but they are out there.

White people complain about racism too. its not just people saying the white man is keeping us down. White people as you put it leave their children and are dead bet dads. White women are on welfare and complain too.

I agree about the pregnancy thing... it's not fair to stereotype a particular race for single women getting pregnant and not being able to afford to care for their children.
However, I do have to agree with the original poster that there has been an inordinate amount of racial complaining on this website lately.
Race complaining is funny because the race who complains is only looking at their race. Race and racism is hypocritical in and of itself.

You miss my point. I said that when one race screams racism, they turn a blind eye to their own racist groups. Making racism hypocritical because every race has a racist organization. And certain races like to use those racist organizations and people to cripple themselves.

Hate to break it to you, but racism is very real. All those reasons you listed that black people use are true. The truth is white schools are often better, they do often have more money, and it is harder for all minorities to get jobs. You're acting as if everyone is color blind.

I never said that racism didn't exist nor that every black people followed those stereotypes. But there are enough black people like that, that it makes it hard for the ones who want to succeed and do well. White people don't run the world. If anything Asians do they make everything. I'm just tired of black people hating me because I'm white. I'm tired of having to be careful of what I say around black people but not white people. You guys just need to relax.

I agree... it is completely ridiculous that you have to feel that way... and while I hope that it's unwarranted, I'm not so naive to think that this is the case.
I've said this before... but I really think the only way we are going to get rid of these mindset is when the races intermingle to the point where you can no longer distinguish between "black", "white", and "Asian". Eventually, this will happen... it's inevitable. Culturally, it's already occurring. I know that some will not like this idea, but in my opinion it's the only true resolution.
I agree with you about racial labels. Race is just imagined, like gender. I don't really identify myself as anything, but other people do and that's the problem.

Your post wasn't about people hating you for being white or having to watch what you say. It was about you not liking to hear black people complain. Just because Asains make everything doesn't mean they run anything. Slaves used to make everything but they certainl didn't control anything (no, this is not me trying to bring up slavery to get sympathy before you accuse me, it's just an example). The way you wrote your post made you seem almost unaware of racism. But I do agree with you about some things such as saying "nigger" and having babies (although that deserves a much broader application).

Believe me I am very aware of Racism. The headquarters for the KKK is an hour from my hometown. I am also aware of Discriminitation since I am a young out bisexual woman.
I had just been reading the series of blogs about how Black people are discriminated against. It felt so anti-white.
Trust me I love my black girlfriends and nothing is more fun than laughing and joking with them because they are so loud and fun. But sometimes everything is racist.
I was just frustrated and wrote this blog in five minutes. I'm not apoligizing or making excuses. I'm just saying I do have a broader view of what is happening in the world when it comes to color and such.
Also the whole Asian thing. China will most likely be a world power in 10 years. That was why I said Asians most likely run the world. I should have clarified.

First and far most you can not say that your tired of "black people" hating on you cause your white because, one I'm black and I'm not hating on you so there for all "black people " do not hate on you. I know you did not say "all" but how you stated that in that sentence you mad at seem that way. Also you can not say that black women underestimating their worth that's not so true .Just yesterday i saw 4 of my friends which i grow up with up till middle school (their white) in the store and they all either had 1 or 2 kids of their own except for one,so black women are not the only ones having babies.
Also me and my brother both (which he is white ) (and I'm black) we went looking for a job well i went in first and the manger told me he was not hiring , after my brother came back from filling out an application for another job he went in asked the same manger we're they hiring and he interviewed my brother right on the spot. I speak proper, i pronounce all my verbs and everything else I grow up in a high class number head and still i get treated differently so there for i do believe that white people (NOT ALL ) do not care to much of blacks. but if your going to stereotype blacks YOU SHOULD DO ALL OTHER ethnicity
Wow, this was really something. But let me help you with a little bit of my own personal experience.
I spent a good portion of my childhood in Chicago. And when it comes to condoms, they’re not sold in every corner store. If you catch a bus, you might hit a Cosco (because Wal*marts were only located near the suburbs), and condoms there, whew, about twenty bucks per pack. If all black people are on welfare, like you suggested, do you think that kind of money is lying around. And if you get pregnant, my dear, your mother just might push for an abortion. Not in Chicago, abortions aren’t cheap, you can’t find a hospital that will do them (mostly private practices, and you can guess the price tag on those), and moms, well my mom believed in living with your decisions, so if you got pregnant, you kept the child. It’s a difference in culture, honey.
My first job I worked in a little clothing store for a middle class Italian family. I remember the guy that hired me, handsome, funny, quite charming too. He thought a pretty black face would sell more clothes, and for the first few days, it was nice job. And then he started asking me to sleep with him, you know, for a raise. I said no, and everything hit the fan. Every dagon day I was harassed, eventually I was fired.
My family has never been on welfare. We lived next to the projects, and you want to know who I saw? Single white women with children. The black faces I did see, most were old, disabled, or strung out on some drug or another.
I am 18 years old, and a virgin. So are my friends, we believe in saving ourselves for marriage. I do have one pregnant friend, and she’s married.
Education is a joke. In Chicago, my newest textbook dated back in the 70s. The kids before me defaced the whole freakin’ book, there were pages that had whole sections white-outed. The teachers were scared of the students, they taught randomly and didn’t give a flying monkey wrench about us. I guess I was one of those rare kids, you know, one with a father. He relocated the family to Virginia, and when I started out, I could only multiply up to ten, the hell with division, and I still did basic arithmetic on my fingers. I was tested two grades below the “average” child in Virginia, but with my mother’s insistence, I was properly put in the eighth grade and played catch up.
When college came around, academically I was ready. My parents did well in Virginia, my dad got a great job in customer service for a credit card agency, and my mom is a nurse. According to my fafsa, with the new house included, my parents make too much. I got in Hampton University (the second most prestigious black college in the nation) and my tuition is 15 grand. My loan check was for 2 grand, my parents paid the rest out of pocket.
I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. I don’t know what you’re watching, or who you’re listening too, but you have your facts grossly wrong. Step into my shoes before you attempt to stereotype my race.

I am not downplaying what you wrote; thank you for sharing it. It's wonderful that you are in a better place now, and I know you will go far and make something of yourself. Hopefully you will go one to help others, because you know what it is like to be one of the less fortunate.
But I would like to point out that your race are not the only people that have gone through what you are describing. It bothers me that you would say it like that... there are white people, Asians, and Hispanics (am I forgetting anyone?) that also suffer in urban areas through EXACTLY the same type of poor education and poverty you describe.
I didn't say others do not suffer. But your blog was not about others, it was about my race, and my people. So my response reflected my experience. You came down upon my race. The honest to God fact is that no other race has gone through the kind of manipulation, discrimination, and mutilation that mine has. That’s not complaining. I can’t stand people that use race to excuse their laziness or poor situation, and I don’t run around pulling the “race card” every time I’m passed up for a job or a kid at school looks at me funny. You can not understand unless you walk a mile in my shoes. You’d be amazed at the very obvious (and grossly disproportionate) differences between the experiences people have of different ethnicities. .

Jews have had a lot of discrimination against them, same as blacks, but throughout history, all the Jews have had to do was pretend to be Christian or simply hide the fact they're Jews to survive. You cannot do this if you're black.
The slave trade created one thing that completely change human history -- white people tied black skin to inferiority. Before slaves were bought and sold throughout history, but it never was the case that because you are a particular skin color, you are automatically a slave and inferior. What white people did changed relationships between entire civilizations. The Jew-Christian conflicts were always very isolated in comparison.
Jewish people were not enslaved. Jewish people did have it bad, it really did suck. Millions died in the Holocaust. Tens of millions died during the years slavery existed. The Nazis hated the Jewish people. There were very few countries NOT involved in the slave trade. The Spanish had slaves, Asians had slaves, Africans had slaves, black faces were seen as inferior not by just one group, not by just a single power hungry extremist group, but by many different countries and many different people. If a Jewish person goes anywhere, nobody is like THERE'S A JEW! I don't personally know of any racial slurs for Jewish people, but I've been called a nigger many times, and not by other black people that think using the word is cool. "What about the Jews," come on. Are you Jewish, have you personally experienced prejudice and discrimination because you're Jewish? No, you haven't. I'm sorry you were picked on by black people, that doesn't give you any kind of authority to stereotype an entire race, which was my problem in the first place. I am not one of "those" people, and I am not a "you" people. Your lack of respect is very obvious in the simple phrase of words you choose to speak. Yes they were, by the Egyptians for hundreds of years. Even reading the bible tells you that much.
Africans sold each other into slavery. And what about the Native Americans who are still on reservations? Blacks have not had it the worse. They had their turn. Every race gets treated badly at some point in history. The Native Americans were seen as lower than blacks. It was also the chinese, the Japanese, Irish, Mexicans, Jews, Homosexuals, etc.
And Jewish people ARE a race. That's why they generally have dark hair, dark eyes, and olive skin. And all through out history people did kick them out. That is WHY they were given their OWN country. Because NOBODY wanted them.
You obviously have not studied sociology, world history, or religious studies, because if you had you would have never said that Jews were never enslaved.

I was never picked on by black people. I have many black friends. I had a problem with blogs that blamed white people or their problems. That is WHY I wrote this in the first place.

I respect people who EARN respect. My blo was about black people who perpetuate the stereotype. People who do not EARN respect. Who just sit back and say "Poor me the white man is getting me down." If you had taken time to read my comments you'd know that I was yelling at the stereotypes not the exception. Bravo to you for doing well. I am not saying every black person is a Baby Daddy or some black woman with five kids bitter at the world. But there ARE people like that. You guys don't help each other which is what I was saying. As a race you keep each other down. Just like women keep each other down.
And as for me not understanding? Don't even start the whole privelaged white girl thing on me. I was born in as part of the only white family in my apartment complex. My mom almost got beaten up at the grocery store for "stealing" a womans parking spot. I had to work for my education just as you did.
But I never had to say that it was because of racism that I had a hard time. I was just dealt a harder deck. THAT is what I was writing about.
