A Future Of Consuming Cloned Animals

While reading the local newspaper I was suprised to read that as of next year, the government will approve selling food from cloned animals in stores. Yet, the Food and Drug Administration isn't labelling any of the products from animals which were cloned. I personally feel like it is a good idea, because due to population overgrowth we've decreased in food amounts. Cloning has been a future plan for a long time whether it delt with food or humans. I'm just not sure if I want to eat a cloned animal. Scientists researched and found no difference between animals and their clones, advising to society it may be safe to eat. But I don't know If I like it, I guess I will keep buying it if I do enjoy it, but then again without special labels I won't be able to know if it's a clone or not. I'm wondering if the taste is different in these future clones and their offspring.

i think the taste would be the same, but i'd prefer knowing which one was cloned. what if later they fond out cloned animals are defective and cause cancer? that's something i'd personally like to prevent from happening. cancer, i mean.

I think the real breakthrough will be when we can clone out the meat without the rest of the animal. We can just have football sized petri dishes of meat soacked in nutrients and occasionally shocked to build up some muscle. Then we just stamp out steaks and sell those. No more slaugherhouses or feeding and caring for an animal until maturity, no more vegans whining becuase I eat a burger... That will be the real cloning miracle. Right now cloning an animal doesn't save much time, space, or resources over conventional animal rearing.
