As I sat in my Government class everyday there were these three girls that would be laughing and carrying on and on about drinking the past weekend and not remembering anything the next day in fact one time one of the girls was telling a story she says;
"man I was sooo wasted last night I don't even remember what I said or what I did.." and SHE LAUGHED ABOUT IT! I wanted to walk up to her and slap her in the face because the fact that she didn't know or couldn't control anything that her body was doing is horrifyingly sad and the fact that you LAUGH about it is outrageous.
Why would you not want to remember what you did? Is alcohol that great that you don't want to enjoy the night and remember it after? I have friends that get so excited about one night to where they are counting down the days or whatever and it gets to that night they go and drink and then i ask them the next day so how was it and all they say is that after they had so much to drink everything becomes a blur. If you are that excited about a certain thing why waste it away.
I know I'm being repetitive but then maybe if I am it will get it into teenagers heads that you don't have to drink to have fun. I'm not trying to play innocent because I have had things to drink and everything but I know my limit so yea sure drink but don't drink to the point where you can't remember anything.. That also doesn't just go for teenagers for adults to but at least they are doing legally... i don't know I don't like hearing stories about people getting to drunk to remember anything.

The fact is, those girls are probably lying and exaggerating like crazy in order to look cool.
Chances are, the 16-18 year olds can't hold their liquor to save their lives. Chances are, that night they're talking about, they probably vomited all over the place before they were even the slightest bit inebriated.
What's more sad to me [than getting so drunk that you can't remember anything] is that they're lying about how "wasted" they were. They probably need more help for that than if they were getting wasted every weekend.

Very true.. That makes a lot of sense which also makes me sad because me being 17 I fall into that category of exaggerating things or people thinking that. I just sometimes wish my age group would grow up... i mean I make mistakes too but seriously the common sense "level" has gone down as kids grow up to teenagers..
