We are all familiar with the need to be healthy and well. We have heard people say that, in one degree or another, they try to be healthy at least 40% of the time. But what the heck does that mean? And how does one accomplish health and wellness anyway? Well....
Wellness can have a variety of meanings but is basically enjoying health and vigor of body, mind, and spirit in all areas of life. By this definition, the concept of wellness encompasses many areas of life. It deals with a total health picture. While physical health is important, several other elements of wellness are equally important. The elements of wellness include our social, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, as well as our physical well-being. Wellness is associated with the physical element of health only and for this reason we will start there in Part 1 after I write it.
It is important to the furture of our nation that its constituents remain strong and healthy...do not let this oportunity to learn pass you.
