Being the Student Government President, voted Most Spirited and everyone knowing my name for making homecoming a blast, I do not think graduates should be going to a Homecoming Dance. Alumni should be going to the football game and the parade the day of the dance. I think that alumni going to the homecoming dance and the prom just show that they are too immature for their age. All of my friends are seniors this year and I am a freshman in college. I did not go to the dance. I was asked over and over again. I went to the parade and the football game. I yelled, screamed and cheer for the Knights to win.... even though we did not win.
Why is it that alumni are going to the homecoming dances? I have seen pictures posted on MySpace and Facebook. There have been at least 50 different students from my graduating class that attended the dance. It just doesn't make sense to me.
What all do you think about this situation?

I think it's a dance. It's not like you're 40 going to the dance......you're just a college freshman. Unless there are rules against it at that high school, live it up and have fun. If you start cutting yourself off now, the rifts might just get bigger.
