Last night I went out with friends and without and actual place, we ended up watching Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Friend A and I joked around with Friend B, telling her that this movie better not be like The Last Mimzy, which she selected a long time ago. Friend A and I did not know anything about this Miss Pettigrew film, but we kept criticizing it and judging it by the image on the few billboards we saw. Oh did we feel ridiculous after the movie when we ended up being the ones to like it the most. It is a pretty good movie, the best chick flick that has came out in a while. Especially with how things are going now in the movie industry, nothing anticipates me to go to the movie theaters anymore. The majority of the movies are remakes, sequels, or not worth to go watch. Seriously! I do not regret spending my eight dollars on Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. I had not heard anything about that movie and I am have realized that most of the "good" movies are those that are not promoted on television and on every single bus stop and billboard. It is a ridiculously cute movie. I know. How can you describe a movie as being cute, right?
But, it is! At least I think it is because yea it's about love and such but Amy Adams' character is so ditzy and funny. Frances McDormand's character as Miss Pettigrew, oh man, you are going to wish you were as awesome as that lady. Good stuff. Oh and the movie takes place in London and it just covers the course of one entire day and a little of the next morning. My favorite actor in that movie was Lee Pace, of course. Too much sexiness for one film. Talking about sexiness, I should go watch The Other Boleyn Girl because I heard it is pretty good too. That sure is rare of me though because I hardly every look forward to any movies, like I said.
But yes, go see Miss Pettigrew Lives Another Day and tell me what you think. I'm open to see what you think about it.
