Pink-the new MLB color?

To you guys out there who don't read the news or listen to it, don't go throwing fits when you see many Major League Baseball players in pink with pink bats on Sunday.  No, pink is not the new baseball color of choice.  Many of our national baseball players will be wearing pink and playing with pink bats to show support and raise awareness for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  Louisville Slugger will be producing pink bats, many engraved with personal family members of the players, for a week long fundraiser to show support of breast cancer survivors and those dealing with it now.  The players will be wearing pink wrist bands and the pink ribbons on their uniforms.  The bases will have the pink ribbon logo with home bases in a commemorative design.  The bats, home bases (signed by the team) and lineup cards are going to be auctioned later on with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Along with the MLB showing their support, M&M's have created packages of the sweet treats in pink and white.  These are supposed to be sold anywhere you can get 8oz. packages.  The plan is or $.50 of each purchase to go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and assist in the finding of a cure.

Please show your support in helping where you can and show the community that we are here when they need us.
