TV Legend Merv Griffen Dies

TV Legend Merv Griffen, who turned Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune game shows into multi-million dollar empires has died of prostate cancer. He was 82.

Griffen's show "The Merv Griffen Show" lasted more than 20 years.

He invented the highly popular shows "The Wheel of Fortune" and "Jepoardy". When Griffen entered the hospital a month ago he was working on a new game show "Mer V Griffen's Crosswords. Merv was a successful race horse owner. He bought the Beverly Hilton hotel form Barron Hilton for 100.2 million and refurbished it for 25 million. Griffen made Forbes richest people many times. He was great friends with former and late president Ronald Reagan and former first lady Nancy Reagan. His family released a statement saying an invitation only funeral will be held at a Beverly Hills church in California.
