Have you ever failed a grade or almost failed a grade?
If you look at my report card and GPA right now, you would be surprised that I once almost failed the sixth grade. My brother had to tutor me and I passed on a C. That was in a private school, and my teachers "didn't have time"
to help me understand the subjects. I cared about my grades, but I didn't have any help.
Now, I am a senior, and I haven't failed. I went to a public school after my sixth grade year, and I pushed myself to work and succeed. If I can succeed, you can succeed! I got that second chance and I took advantage of it. Your education is the most valuable thing you own. If you or someone you know are making low grades...it is not too late. You can ask for help. I ask for help if I do not understand. Being smart isn't being geeky....that means you will have more respect and more money in the future. If you want to be that top 10% or 20% in your class, start hitting those books. Success is for everyone, not just for the smart ones. You can be smart, too!

That's funny to me because I failed the 8th grade and didn't get held back. I didn't care about high school either, the hardest I worked was on excuses to get out of class. I graduated in the top 30% of my class with a 3.78 and I didn't do a damn thing. I know I'm a bad example but studying isn't for everyone! I'm more focused on college because I really love computer engineering and I want to be really good at it. Funny how life is sometimes.
When I was in high school, I failed one of my mathematics classes (because I'm horrible in mathematics); but luckily, I was able to take the class over again and passed it.
That is so true. If only more people realized that. . .
It took me awhile to realize that and even when I did, I only believed in it half of the time because I found it to be worthless. Ah well.
