Does a higher IQ really make you richer? healthier? Aparantly it does. Within a family, the smarter of the siblings will generally make 30% or more yearly. And the wealthy stay alive much longer, and it has nothing to do with money or better doctors. Smarter people make smarter decisions (go figure). So share the smarts and keep someone else alive longer.

I didn't expect that article to be very well written given the controversial nature of its hypothesis, but it was actually quite good, and fairly well-researched. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
That makes me happy to be in the University Honors College.
For me...it sounds like common sense. People have higher IQ do have more chances to succeed in life than those who don't.
But it has always since the 20s that those who work hardest succeed best, is what i think the point is.
Success and health are obviously never determined by a single factor. The most successful people are smart, work hard, and live healthy.
But taking the generalizations of this article and applying it singularly doesn't make sense. The generalizations do not tell the story of any one particular person.
