Christians Don't support?

Once again another local Christian friendly venue is threatened by extinction due to under representation.  I am deeply saddened and perplexed.

Week after week and for the past 2 years, I have worked with my husband to find or create events that are family friendly and  spiritually appropriate.  This was born out of our sentiment that there weren't enough venues to relax and take in good music in a non-smoking, non-cursing, non-violent setting but still among the secular world to have witnessing opportunities without killing our spirit.  But despite numerous invites (seeds if you will), it seems the word has come back void.  Has it been thrown to bad soil? Or has it fallen on frozen ground? I don't know.

One such venue has opened its doors to us on a regular basis to some in and "do our thang" whether it be a praise party, a group meeting, or a concert .

If you have recently purchased a music CD for $15 why not support locally with $5 .

I feel that coffeehouses are the  Christian's nightclub full of  witnessing opportunities.

Our event is at 9 pm but poor participation is not granted prime location/time.  The event will never be a Friday night if no one supports.  Too many times we hear businesses say "Christians don't support" as they turn us down for renting buildings and hosting events.  Our dollar is going somewhere but not back into our own ministries. But that's another sermon.

Find the local Christian scene in your hood and support or it won't be there the next time you're looking for a sanctuary.
