Why do people judge by the music you listen to? I love all music. One of my favorite bands is Fall Out Boy, but my boyfriend absolutely hates them. He changes the channel if they come on the TV or radio and he doesn't like it when I wear my band T's. For Christmas I got an MP3 player and I didn't have a working computer at the moment so he put music on it for me and I had to beg him like crazy just to put a few of my favorite songs on there for me. I know at my school there are lots of people who don't like country, I get why though. Or hard rock, or punk.. The only music I don't like listening to is the screaming stuff. It hurts my head! :P

Yeah, people do tend to judge others by what music they're listening to. There are so many categories, what's popular and what's not. I think people see someone's music choices as a reflection of who they are and what scene they subscribe to (i.e., punk rock vs. classical). Whether this is right or wrong, music is something that everybody has their own tastes and preferences in, and just about with everything else, we're quick to judge others.
P.S.: Fall Out Boy rocks!

People who listen to similar types of music group together...it gives people a common ground.
My fiance and I met at a Death Metal show. I've met some great people at DM shows too. I have friends that listen to other types of music, but that wrong?
There is no good or bad music, just preference...although there is just noise... ><
P.S. I can't stnad FOB. ><

In high school, I dressed industrial gothic. I wore mostly black with some neon colors attached. I had dyed spiked hair, black fingernails, and eyeliner. But I was notorious for jamming to Eminem, Biggie Smalls, and Snoop Dogg. However my closest friends knew I had special fondness for metal and industrial music. I just like breaking labels and leaving music for what it is... music.
