Student/Teacher relationship

The law states that a teacher is not allowed to get involved sexually with their students, and anything under the age of 18 is strictly forbidden, with severe penalties if anything happens.  It is wrong, if a 60-year old teacher takes advantage of the trust of an adolescent student, but what if that isn't the case? "

Teachers are getting younger and younger.  There has been a lacking in qualified teachers during the last few years, encouraging the younger teachers to start right away.

Teenage boys are getting hornier than ever, with the decline in moral values in the world.  The media portrays any sexual relationship as okay and natural.  Males are encouraged to have sex with a female, dominating them, and if you can have an older woman, extra points.

Many young students fall in love with their teachers as soon as they see them.  It is considered cute and harmless in society today as it has for years.

So when does it cross the line?

It is entirely possible for a teacher of 21 to have a student of 17, a mere 4 years difference.  It is entirely possible that student would flirt with anything that moves.  It is entirely possible for that same 17 year old to have a crush on that teacher.

Cross it yet?

It is entirely possible for a teacher of 21 to have a student of 17, a mere 4 years difference.  It is entirely possible for the teacher to like flirting from anything that moves.  It is entirely possible for that same 21 year old to feel special that someone has a crush on her.

Have we crossed it?

Is it when the student decides he wants a relationship with the teacher besides a teacher, or when the teacher decides she wants a relationship with the student besides the student?

Is it okay if the student is not the student anymore?  Is it okay is the teacher is 22 and the student 18, a year later?  Is it okay if in is in college with a student and professor?  Is it okay when the student is female and the teacher male?  Is it okay?

Look, the teacher is 21, the kid is 17. Four years is a long time. The law says no and I assume the teacher cares about her own future enough to not break that law. Some states are particularly strict about ages, not letting a boy of 18 have sex with a girl of 17. They're both students, but the boy just might be prosecuted. That's only one year, but I suppose four years is okay then?
High school guys aren't as helplessly horny as you make them out to be. And, if caught, the teacher will never be able to work with kids again. I can only hope that both a teacher and student can hold themselves back before they do something stupid.

But what if they aren't having sex and it is just a relationship. Is it still wrong then? What about if that student turns 18 during that school year?

Then it's up to the specifics of the law and the judge. I am not learned in those details.
