Why do they want to change america so much. I am american, i was born here, raised her and don't plan to call any other country home. So it saddens me to turn on CNN and the headline is "English, Should it be America's first language?" Or to turn on CNN and they are talking about America isn't showing enough support to its immigrants and America needs to convert its cultures to fit "new" society. Why is it that America needs to change its Official first language, or why is it that america needs to changes it laws and constitution to make people who aren't even Americans happy. I am far from racist, dont get that impression of me, but i am a die hard American and i love my country. "(Not really the American Government, But the Country, yes)" If someone moved to America, shouldn't they have to confrom to our tradtions somewhat, not us conform to theirs. If they liked their way of life so much, why come here in the first place. Or shouldn't they be forced to learn English. We (americans) travel to other countries all the time. WE dont try and make those countries learn our language and change their culture. We respect theirs, they should respect ours. I am from the inner cirty of a New York State City. My City has people speaking about 15 different languages and 20 different cultures, so i understand the idea of at least learning about other cultures but i dont want to ever change mine. These people couldn't change their own coutries, why are they trying to change ours? And why are we being called the bad guys, because we dont wnat to? That isn't fair. But hey, we all know the famous saying, "Life isn't Fair" But im not changing the language i speak or the culture i live by because someone migrated here and wasnt happy with what they got. This is AMERICA THE GREAT. That is what is should stay.
