NATURE V.S. NURTURE... Culture or Background?

Ok, so I have recently written a blog about the Anglo - Saxon Myth. The myth states that the Anglo - Saxon race are better physically and mentally then any other race. Mentally being smarter and physically being just how it sounds, how you look. Physically could also mean athletically. Anyways, I think that most people realize that this myth is in fact BS, hince the word myth following the Anglo - Saxon name. Anyways, a fellow blogger has brought it to my attention that some races, like in their example Cubans, do not do so well mentally. Well, I do not know very much about Cuba except for the fact that my best fiend is Cuban. Well, you would think "Hey, some races are just stupider than others because of their culture AKA nature".Well I disagree. I think that nurture would have a lot to do with that. Most people that have grown up in a disfunctional family follow the example of their parents. If their mother went off and got pregnant at sixteen, then the daughter is probably going to do the same thing. I am not saying that is true for all people that have grown up in a disfunctional family. My mom had me at seventeen and here I am, a college student trying to make a better life for me. And i'm not saying that if you get pregnant at an early age then you will not succeed. It is rare but possible. My point is is that nurture matters more than nature when it comes to people being successful. What do you think? Nature or Nurture?

"If their mother went off and got pregnant at sixteen, then the daughter is probably going to do the same thing."

Actually, I think it would be the exact opposite because they would see the reprecussions of having a child at a young age...

Besides that point, it isn't nature v. nurture, it is both. You have both and need both, and if you only have one or the other, then you might have some problems. The two balance out differently for different people, depending on their backgrounds and genetics of course. But really, this isn't an either or issue.
