Can you elaborate? Personally, I think progress can mean numerous things. Sometimes it may be the ability to surpass all others. Going from a lower degree to a one that is higher. Ultimately if you were to come up with a single definition, I would say that progress is the ability to exaggerate your differences from the rest of the world. What's the point of living in the shadow of someone who has blocked your view of the world all your life? Do you feel pressure to look and act just like everyone else? Is it embarassing to you to stick out, and be your own person? So many teenage girls in particular find it necessary to wear the latest fashion so they can look just like all the perfect models in magazines that aren't even real people. I don't understand it. Why do you feel the need to hide away in clothes that dont even fit who you are? I know that even I have fallen victim to this ridiculous trend called fashion, but I look back and regret it. There's no reason you cant look cute and different at the same time.
