Social Security and abortion are two major issues today in the government. What do they have in common? Abortion is a cause in why there isn't enough money in social security. Because the generation known as the baby boomers are starting to get near retirement, people is worried that there won't be the money in the social security program will run out because there aren't enough people working. If all of the baby boomers had at least one kid or two, we wouldn't have this problem. Because of abortion, millions of babies that could have contributed to the social security money supply, were killed instead.

Although I am only 17 years old, I hold very strong views about significant issues in today's society, especially abortion. I have never been in the situation where I had to contemplate whether to get an abortion or not, though many females my age, across the country have. I am pro-choice for numerous reasons. A woman has the choice to decide on whether she wants a child. Some see abortion as murder, but what if the woman was a victim of rape or incest. What if her life was in danger from carrying the baby? All these reasons and more are why I am for abortion. Society downs a woman for getting an abortion but she didn't become pregnant on her own. We are all mature and know that it takes a man and a woman to produce a child. I personally don't understand you blog entry. Where is the connection between social security and abortion.
All I was saying was that when the baby boomers generation was born, there was a huge rise in the amount of babies being born. These babies are now getting to the age where they will be getting their social security checks. They will be getting them every once in a while. Because a lot of the baby boomer generation had abortions, there are less people in the population which will be paying social security money to them. Basically less workers. That in turn means less money in the social security fund which ends up meaning when all of the baby boomer generation is getting money from social security, it will run out. There aren't enough people working right now to pay for all of the social security checks of the baby boomers. Everyone who works today and is getting social security taxes taken out of their paychecks, is paying the social security checks of the people over 65 right now. If there are less people working when the baby boomers are on social security, there won't be any money left in it. All of that is because of abortion. I hope that makes this a bit more clear.
i kinda understand where your coming from (im a high school) but what about the job decrease in america, isn't that a factor in this problem?
