While everone says that they have plans for the healthcare system I have proposal of my own. Republicans are still in favor for caspitalist healthcare and i thin now is the time for it to die. If anything America should take a page for the japanese in learning, Take the best systems form the other countries and encorperate then intro your own. This way we as a country become stronger by learning from our neighbors. See below.
Money V Output
Giant problem with the healthcare industry today is that you put you money in so that when you get sick they have your back. However when you finall get sick the company (to protect its share holders) acts like a greased monkey that slole something from you, it instinctively wants to get awayso it doesnt have to make good on its word and give you the service that it promised. The healthcare system is on the verge of becomin a literal blackhole on the american wallet, just feed you meny into the machine and keep it moving. If you pay for a service and then when the time for the service to be called apon is reached and it doens't do its job FIRE THE BITCH!! (yes i know im a a little zelous, but you need to be when your too por and have to deal with this all the time) What good is having asystem if it doesn't work when it is needed, also if the system is flawed Screw the System and rebulid.
We are supposed to be a country of freedoms, if freedoms are free for everone then why do we call our selfs thet land of the free? If freedoms are only free for thos who are ricl why dont we amend that syaing so that is pertains to the affluent people who can afford those "freedoms". Below is my "red" idea for healthcare.
Step 1:Addressing the Aggravants
Many of the current sicknesses t that are an epidemic today weren't 20 years ago. So what do we do about them, first survey the country to find out who does have healthcare and who doesn't. Then scale back the subsidaries the healcare companies get so that you can pay the doctors to do a free checkup day, this way you can generate a report that can be sent to the goverment so they can see who is sick and what is required.If an environment cause is behind a sickness then you regulate the waste or byproducts that causes it. Continue to have the EPA crackdown on those companies untill everyone gets the message. If you limit the envoroment causes you can turn the tide of life for many by stemming th causes. Also people who dont get sick produce more than poepl who do get sick and have to stop working. Now you have to attack another cause of sickness, food.
Step two making the populace better throught strict food control
Many sicknesses can be gotten throught the environment or through the food that we eat, so if you solve the environment issue then you can focus on the food. Obesity and diebetes are growing epidemics in america and one that wer shouldnt have to deal with. If the government used the FDA to regulate the ammount of unhealthy thing that reached every american the you could substancially raise the quality of life. With the food purified of all substanced that damage our bodies, lead to shorter lifespans and increased sickness we could live better, to to mention longer and happier.
Something step that I happend to forget, oh yeah the other half of eating healthy, getting up off of our asses and excercising. Quoting Bill Maher yet again, (he makes sense so ...eh) "A Duke study found out that excercising was just as effective for depression as anti-depressants. So ask you doctor if getting up off you ass is right for you!" If excercise works the well fuck,lets excercise! The people along with the government could come up with ways of getting the people to excercise. Like at some high schools the teacher have turned to the popular videogame DDR to get their student to excercise and i dont know if you seen a DDR player but their very cordinated and also in great shape (I guess that excercise work, huh doc?). For all of those unforseeable problems thats whe the industry come in.
Step 3: when problems arise
The government in an effor to save money should take control of all healthcare companies. Merging them to form the Amreican Universal Healthcare company. This way many people could keep their jobs and we could extend care to everyone. the govermnet uses the subsidiaries that it used to give the companies to take care of the american poeple. It is also optional as to whether the government should hire doctors so that they are government workers. Beside the control of the cost of procedures (which is reason in itself) that is an option so that the program doesnt cut into the federal budget. It could be supported by taxes just like the Canadian healthcare plan and would better all american lives in the end isn't that the job of the government?

This is a good idea because a capitalist heath care system would mean that those who don't have too much money to spend on it but need it more than the rich guy won't be living too long and whatnot.
The catch is, the heath care that's given has to be up to par because everyone would end up paying for bad heath care (and that would defeat the original goal of universal heath care in this country)
Im saying turning the current system into the universal system and supplemental steps are the first two. I'm not saying you change the doctors but instead of having the doctors who well need extra money, you have pay grades that help each doctor live just like others. Like the french, their doctors ar happy whith having money in their pocket and not rushing to fill it at the expense of others. If the current care today is good then keep it, but if doctors are getting kickbacks from HMO's so that they dont find a problem that could be treated then we have to change that. There is a way around the par issue and my plan is the basics if i found out that it was to be impemented then i would fully develop it. Now im just trying to get the message out to anyone who will listen
