Do you know me? (Poem)

Dose he even know I exist?

I know we had no classes together

Until now but it’s a small school. Do you know me?

Do you remember the time?

I ran into you at that party in the city this summer?

What were you doing there?

It was dark - you could feel the beat

I saw you enter the party

As I guarded the entryway - drink in hand.

I reconized you and your friend.

LATER

I was sitting on the couch in the secluded room.

You two came over we talked.

Time for you to leave - hugs good bye.

We should have danced.

Of all the cities

How did we wind up in the same one?

Of all the places to party

In that big city how did you come to mine?

Of all the days to party

We picked the same one - how odd.

We're myspace friends – at my request.

Do you know me?

Show me that you know me.

What is it that I like about you?

I don’t know. Your intelligence,

Your ideals, self confidence, your hobbies - which line up

Oh so perfectly with mine?

I can not tell. It’s a mystery

To me as so many other things with you are.

I’m puzzled and I want answers.

Talk to me and give me the answers I desire.

I desire you.

Anyone can relate to this poem who has ever crushed on someone. It represents all the complications of love and feelings for others. There are so many unanswered questions that you want answered. And it hurts when you do find out when that person you desire doesn't desire you back. But life goes on---for a reason. For EX. several months ago I began a serious crush on one of my friends, but he didn't want to be anything more than friends. I couldn't understand why--but then...a few weeks later I came to find out that another one of my good male friends (that I've known since elementary school) liked me. So I decided to let go of my "crush" (though we're still bff's) and I thought really hard about my other friend liking me. It turns out that I liked him...more than a friend too. The moral of the story is that we have been currently dating for 3 1/2months. And honestly I believe we were made for each other--true love.

i agree with the coment above me. we are always seeking for answers... i can relate to this....when one of my boyfriends broke up with me (last september) i was a wreck....to make things worse i asked why and he responded by relating it to the song lips of an angel by hinder....i could not listen to the radio for 3 months in fear of the song coming on.

I thought this was a good poem because I thought it was creative.
  Good job!
